Merc item granted Aura?

If my Merc wears a Bramble… do other players and/or Mercs get the Thorns Aura?
I’ve been searching, unsuccessfully to find the answer… and do not want to join a public game to review than abandon.

Yes

Characters required

not only that… pets benefit as well…

so by having a necro with bramble and edge runeword equipped, maxed blood golem and golem mastery. plus a way to apply open wounds or poinson damage and amp curse, you could literally thornkill ubers in few hits each, and the golem should prevail ( and if not it’s easy to recast him as he doesn’t require corpses ).

this is possible as pets ( blood golem included ) get 4x multiplier of damage recived from prime evils. this on top of 36 lvl thorns aura and later 2x damage from amp on prime evil, and given blood golem gets BO from CtA, his life is over 100k and 2-3k life regen.

Is it a bug that the iron golems thorns aura isn’t added to a necromancers other summons?

No bug.

thanks guys, helping a friend get to lvl99, and was wondering which character/merc combo (of mine) would help his character/merc the most.

basically any char would welcome a BO barb if your friend plays melee a well equipped fire act3 merc is a nice combo, a2 holyfreeze is an all around good choice for support for both melee and casters, as a bo barb you could double dip as a mf find item barb, so that he finds stuff faster, or no mf item find barb if hunting for runes to trade for.

no matter if he’s a caster or melee you could play with maxed paladin with conviction -95% AC is massive for melee and the -res + immunity pierce is a good addition for casters. max fanaticism if melee or zoo necro/driud, using infinity or faith runeword on a merc is also a good eqivalent.

Watch out for playing in a party containing an Assassin using the Shadow Master skill. This minion periodically casts “Mind Blast” which can turn a monster into a “friendly” party member, which means that it inherits the Thorns aura and any other crazy damage reflection that it inflicts when hit.

The monster will RETAIN the Thorns aura for a second or two after it goes back to the “enemy” side, meaning that if you hit it (with melee damage) at that point – “oops, you’re dead”

It happened to a friend of mine so beware!

i’m aware of the converted mechanics, same as with the dolls you don’t rush to kill everything in your sight, rather watch the environment carefuly and act acordingly…

Paladin conversion skill can literally do the same… and have you ever met a dirty double crossing paladin that hostiled you and converted mass of stygian dolls, and aproached You? like dolls with thorns aura or dolls with fanaticism aura… or charging act 5 snakes with vigor aura…
