Maul vs fury post 2.4

i was running some numbers

and it seems… that while maul is capped at 6-7 frames compared to fury’s 5 frames

it should… hit harder and be uninterruptible

as well has have much more defense and the ability to stun

this will come at the cost of not reaching max damage and passing wolf until you get maul to max, not having life leech from feral rage and not have faster run speed from feral rage.

it does seem playable
wont be as efficient or as fun as wolf imo, but its certainly would be viable
seems it would be much better vs melee enemies and weaker vs casting monsters

let’s not forget that werebear also has access to shockwave which has the possibility to stun entire crowds.

Who cares? Let’s say the damage % was 2000. And you had a 1000 damage weapon. You would be doing less damage than a single fireball. With no way to take physical damage resistance negative.

Then factor that you will miss 2 out of 5 hits. Obviously these numbers aren’t perfect, but it highlights why melee sux in D2R.

you clearly dont understand the issue with melee at all… melee’s issue isn’t lack of damage… its lack of aoe… and accuracy

melee will deal the damage damage as fireball it just will do it to one single target with a chance to miss in melee range while your getting hit back. where at caster do it form a safe distance cant miss ( unless your aim sucks) and can hit upwards of 5+ things at once depending on their size.
