Maul is a mace right? A grey-text, not superior/crude maul with TWO sockets- I put Tir + El in and it’s just a “Gemmed Maul” now. I could swear it worked in the original.
Taken from Wiki: Clubs, maces, hammers and scepters are all labeled “mace class” in-game, but the four weapon types have distinct properties.
It says Steel will only work in axes, maces and swords so it probably does not work in “hammers”.

Yeah wasted my Maul too 3 years later. same for my scepter too… it should apply to Mauls since they are mace class.
which wiki do you use that says this?
