If you Google D2R maphack, there is already a site and discord with a working maphack.
Is blizzard even monitoring this?

i’d say so, the maphack you’re talking about currently does not work with the most recent update. did you even take a second to read through the site you recommended us to read?

Well it kind of is since if you have map hack, you can kill anderial, Meph, and summoner all within 90 seconds. You can’t know which way summoner is. You can’t know where the stairway is on catacombs 3. And half the time meph’s room wraps all the way around to the back of where you came in on the waypoint and it takes a while to figure that out.
It basically means that without maphack, you’re looking at 3- 5 times longer. That means maphack is 3-5x more GG loot. So yeah, it matters.

Is this, your first computer?
I wouldn’t ever type anything important on that PC, or log into anything until you did a complete OS reinstall after a complete format.
Installing anything from “a site” and “a discord” in 2022 that isn’t a mod from NexusMods (And I barely trust them) is like sticking your index finger in a piranha tank.

I think there has been for a long time. Last time I googled it I found multiple open source MHs on github. I’m guessing they just had to adapt old MHs from the original game since the game isn’t that different under the hood.
The only question is whether or not Blizzard is going to choose to enforce their ToS on that particular issue. In the past they’ve chosen not to for things like THUD in D3 (even if they never publicly admitted that they weren’t), so it’s not unreasonable to wonder what their position is in D2:R.
people/players have been using Maphack since ladder started, most likely since day 1 or 2 of d2r launch…
you don’t need maphack to do that with a sorc or with any other class with enigma, or naj’s staff, or a teleport wand, etc.
I give you an enigma if you can consistently do that in or under 90 sec without a mh

well, not the summoner. i’m cursed in that he’s always at the last arm of the sanctuary no matter what i do. i’m convinced if i did cave in and install maphack, the map would change every time i got close to him until i hit all three other branches before killing him.

Its sad to see that blizzard seems to not only not care but encourage people to bot and hack on this game.
Have they ever made a point about it? Really, at least, tried to scare people to not use it?
Nah. I just quitted online gaming on D2R because bots already ruined it. They simply dont care.

I don’t like Maphack, but to think teleport is a mitigating effect is untrue. It’s certainly better than running, but nothing compared to maphack.

Just so anyone looking for those knows, maphacks commonly contain trojans or keyloggers. Be extremely careful with those.
Also, keep in mind that they are against Terms of Service.
That said, it’s not very surprising that maphacks are “already” out there. The map is probably instanced and transmitted to the client as soon as the game is made, so pulling it out in order to display it fully should be easy for people who know what they’re doing.
I believe that project is Open Source, compile it with visual studio after you inspect code.
Talking from a programmers perspective, although the zip file could be risky and running said MH is also risky for your own account, there are ppl also running loot filter mods online vs single player, of which that mod is all text files to edit the game data, no runnable code or executable.
