Map hack features

Auto party, please please auto party. Opening up and having to spam invites while starting a new run is silly. Just have a little check box in the party screen to enable or disable and have that feature saved between games so you don’t have to turn it on every single game. That alone is a huge plus, with no downside.

As someone who frequently used Maphack I can tell you that it was a tool primarily used for boosting. D2’s decline in population had nothing to do with a third party program, and everything to do with patch 1.10 which removed a plethora of D2’s memorabilia.

That having been said, I am not for any map features. It is not needed to enjoy the game.

The trick I always ran into was that it was super convenient and easy to get maphack working, too easy, and some features like the price of items for vendors, the ilvl of the monster, were things I very much liked seeing  but it gave you so much information, especially about areas you should not be able to see that it ruins any immersion with the environment as your looking at the map so much.

God the edit limit is lame if I can still type a new message, but these features could be allowed easy access for addon makers.

I highly doubt they would implement this in a “legal” way given the Devs are concerned with widescreen monitors and how they can work it out so you can’t see monsters outside of your agro range.

I’m gonna take a guess if they don’t want you to see monsters outside of your agro range, they aren’t going to want you to see X’s on a map of their locations either.

That would 100% destroy the D2 Experience.

Ofc NOT…optional…sure.

That tells you instantly where a dead end is. Hence, you are much faster. Also you ruin the fun for all during quests. No need, thanks.

Now lets talk about loot hack. I want to be able to tell the monsters what I want before I kill them.
