Map hack and or bot in SS

So yeah, I have a screen shot i saved from another user who clearly is either botting, or has a map hack.

I think I probably saw the same thing you did. Was it a necro in Durance? Idk if it’s real or not but I’d much rather play this game without cheaters.

There are two ways to report this sort of thing.

  1. Right click in game and report for Cheating
  2. Email Hacks@blizzard.com with the screenshot and detailed info.

They don’t get back to you so it feels like they don’t listen and even then, bots tend to be banned in waves.

Hopefully they keep up on it with D2R.

Ehh… Who cares about MapHack… Doesn’t hurt anyone, let’s them farm a bit faster, but who really cares about that… Doesn’t get them any sort of advantage in PvP…

I was doing trist runs yesterday and definitely there was someone with at least a maphack if not botting. Each run the portal was up before the town even finished loading and they said the same exact thing every time.

It can look like map hack because there are actual patterns to map layouts for specific areas, including the most commonly farmed locations. Don’t believe me? Go look at MrLlamaSC on YouTube and he literally details it. Fast cast rates + a plan on how to get to the location you’re farming = success and can look to others as map hack.

This has been the argument since Mousepad first released the maphack. “It doesn’t hurt anyone.” Before we knew it, there was pickit, trade screen hack, crash hacks, bots and more.

Maphack is like the gateway drug.

Edit: There is actually a Reddit post where the OP said he cannot play the game without maphack. :rofl:

some maps have the same route every time, its predictable. Look up a countess guide or mephisto if you need some clarification. just follow the wall in x direction kind of thing

What’s with these literal idiots who keep ignoring what you are saying (but maps have static layouts!) As of you can find trist portal before people join perfectly every game. There are clearly maphacks and bots now. Sticking your head in the sand won’t change that.

Can confirm. I was baalwaking for more xp and this sorc kept porting instantly to the Throne.

If you’re doing tristram runs, my assumption is its normal mode and maps tend to be smaller. Its not unreasonable to get multiple good map rolls where trist portal is near the wp.

a lot of vet players know the tiles and it can make it seem like they have maphavk

for instance, if you are in the tower go left and travel clockwise, i guarantee you you will find each floor very quickly

Again no, it’s impossible. I joined every game immediately and the portal is already up. Nobody is that fast every single time.

I know what automation looks like.

baal runs? chaos runs?

if so it’s highly possible. worldstone keep has specified pathing that vet players know. you travel in a certain direction and you will find each level very quickly

especially if you are a 200 bp tele sorc
