I think this is a cool idea but how does this compare to an ohm rune socketed into a weap? style points?
Ohm is cumulative to other Ed and applies to the base item
While Zod adds to the base item which then gets amplified by the Ed
So if you have a 100dmg base with 300ed, giving 400
With Ohm it’ll become 450
With Zod making it ethereal it’ll become a 150 base which then with the 300Ed make it 600dmg
So it’s not always the best, which is what makes it a good mechanic design wise, it’s best accompanied with Ed, so weapons without Ed don’t really benefit as much from it

Well Faith (especially a decently rolled one) is harder to obtain and Windforce is not that much behind Faith performance wise, though WF is also less versatile too. Frostmaidens and Magezons pretty much had no end-game options before faith, ice and so on came along.
Rares were already invalidated when Windforce first got introduced in LoD anyway.

windforce on the other hand is 1:400hour with pindle
This is wrong. I cant count on 1 hand the amount of times i have found a windforce over 20 years. I have however found the bases and runes to make a dozen faiths.
Faith hands down crushes windforce. The only time anyone uses wf is because they are cheap enough to trade for unti you find a faith.

Hmm no. How did you arrive at these numbers?
Odds for Ohm are 1:41263 and Jah 1:74943 based on players 1, which the vast majority of players are playing on. Trav runs you’re looking at 30 seconds per run at best (after prebuffs, teleporting back after clear, etc) killing 11 Council Members each round.
Windforce has drop odds of 1:22045 on all player settings which Pindle can be killed about 7 times every 2 minutes with ~850% MF.
While looking at these factors Windforce does come out on top in rarity still, but you totally forgot about finding a suitable 4 socket Matriarchal or Grand Matron Bow with 3 bow skills, because let’s face it who’s making a faith in a Blade or Great Bow?
A white Grand Matron Bow drop odds are ~1:3000 in The Pit from white archers and ~1:9500 from other mobs before considering +3 skills (1:6) and rolling 4 sockets (1:18) OR plain + using the cube recipe (1:6).
Even in those bows it’s still better than Wf lol
You are neglecting the fact that runes drop from alot more mobs/areas
Windforce has a much smaller area making it a much rarer find.
A perfect roll superior 15% Faith Matriarchal Bow and Windforce are pretty much on par with each other with a very slight edge to Faith Matriarchal Bow, but the former is more gear dependent (needing more GG jewels and charms) where as the latter is more level dependent (Level 95+).
To get a perfectly rolled faith bow in ANY base, you need 8 Jah and 8 Ohm runes to have a decent chance of rolling it. You’re not going to find 8 Jah and 8 Ohm runes before finding a Windforce.
Downgrading to a blade bow is a 4% DPS loss from there.
And good luck finding that 15% superior base.
No I am not neglecting this, because if you’re farming Travincal for runes as mentioned above, you’re only killing the 11 Council Members and getting out of there.
Tldr. Ok whatever i will give you this one.

Looking at maxroll profiles you can clearly see a majority of faith bowazon and those who don’t use faith have a faith merc lol
Wasnt the point of the debate plus Nobody plays bowazons anyways so irdc.
Faith opens up some end game options for hybridised or elemental bow builds as well as making a good act 1 merc weapon. Not really sure where you’re coming from here.

I’ve posted the numbers for the drop odds and run times for those scenarios above as well as the missed point about finding a suitable faith base, so I’ll let others be the judge or ask for clarification.
And the premise of my point already answers your question: rarer items should correlate with being more end game. Faith is all things considered rarer than Windforce and should be (and is) reflected in its power.
