Vengeance is the worst skill in pvp. I think it should be added in to other combat skill. Imagine zeal that has damage added by vengeance per swing
I mean, it’s hard to work in PvP for sure, but it definitely is not the worst. Have you ever tried to PK using Arctic Blast?
Back in D2LOD days, I used to love vengeance. I remember 1-2 shotting lots of trappers with my avenger. Have you ever actually build one out and tried it? It packs a large hit… that’s for sure. Try out dual dream, HoJ + Dragon, and a level 24 conviction. You will be slapping when you hit. Building this way will also put your maximum resistances really high, and you can pretty easily hit 95.
To your point though, having zeal also deal the elemental damage of vengeance would be pretty insanely busted.
Even if Vengeance happens to be bad in PvP. You don’t balance PvM around PvP. If you think Vengeance is weak in PvM, then we can discuss how to improve it, but outside of that, PvP is not a good reason to fundamentally alter the skill.
Even if they did agree to alter the skill, I’m really not sure how you expect the skill to work. Are you expecting to get the extra damage for free on all melee skills? Are you requesting for Vengeance’s mana cost to be added to all melee skills to get the extra damage?
100% agree with this, and is one of the reasons I think Blizzard needs to revert the FHR changes they made in 2.3 (I think?).
Yes. = not enough mana = deactivates vengeance skill
just make it a self-cast buff similar to the assassin’s venom that adds flat elemental damages to attacks.
Having zeal with extra Ar and element damage equivalent of vengeance will be on par with meta builds. It can be on par with Smiter
