I think there are times you don’t want your merc by your side. Especially when you’re testing something or dueling in pvp. It’s a waste of gold to rehire after you killed your merc on purpose.
Maybe if there is a feature where you can unsummon your merc to go on vacation and bring him back for free when you need it.
