Make Imbue Quest Repetable

its already infinitely hard to find a nice rare item, this wont break the game. We still need to find bases.

u can use 6 perfect skeletons to “shuffle” the traits on a rare item. I think that is repeatable. :slightly_smiling_face:

removes ethereal from the base item…

Do the same with the socket quest (and item personalization). We got shared stash to diminish dependence on mules; those quests should be repeatable for the same reason (although made more difficult - otherwise it’d mean free unlimited rare items and socketing).

They could make The Smith drop the Malus in hell mode and buff him so it’s not an easy feat.

It sucks that there’s no use brainstorming this stuff because Blizzard has no idea what the hell they’re doing anymore.

What if Hell Ancients dropped such items which were used to get quest rewards again? They are tough already, with so many random modifiers, and currently there is no reason to fight them besides for quest.
For extra challenge (and better drops), make it possible for Arreat Summit to be Terrorized.

That would actually be cool. If they had a % chance to drop imbue, socket, hellforge, and even new ones.

Instead of repeatable, they could let certain mobs drop material to do another imbue. Like smith and hephaisto.

But I guess they won’t do any of this.

Buy a second account and rush yourself there is the only option

Or at least do this in a sense where you have to find a special malus that can be found in environments with a Vex/Ohm drop rate. 1 imbue per malus. It can only be found in hell. It would grant an ilvl 99 imbue every time. That would be good to have at least.

Are there actually any theoretical minmax rares, only obtainable with the imbue? Seems pretty redundant otherwise. Heck, rares drop constantly, with enough MF.

6 perfect skulls + a rare item is basically the Imbue quest.

Nope. But you can create a lot of extra rolls on specific bases. Like eth bases or special weapons.

That would be really cool, actually. They’re both blacksmith characters too, and that particular mob is actually really fun to kill.

His death cry, and how he falls backward is just great lol,

One could drop the hammer head, and the other could drop the handle.

Because players simply rush new characters to gain imbue, the quest should be repeatable, with extra difficulty or a material cost, after the first attempt.

Perfect Skull reroll is not a re-imbue because it cannot fit all items, does not maintain item level, and does not maintain ethereal base

Considering the reprehensible RNG of this game, repeated imbues will not break the game. Chances that you will ever actually get a good item are slim to none.

For example;

Warpike with
400ed
2os
Ethereal (base)
Nothing else

1 in Approximately 240 MILLION chance to roll those stats…

ilvl = int(0.4 * clvl) + int(0.4 * ilvl), versus imbue’s clvl +4. That’s a massive difference.
Also, due to the Cube size this formula will not work on items larger than 3x2.

I don’t know why anyone would waste perfect skulls on this. I always save my perfect gems and skulls to reroll grand charms for those elusive +1 skill charms.

Yes, they could update charsi quest, imbue should cost money or be able to repeat at least 3 times in each difficulty.

Sorry but learn how to use crafting recipes…

3,400,000 gold cost for imbue cost would be a a fair price,and limit re-imbue to level 90+
Perhaps 2,500,000 for imbues at lower level

the cube recipe removes ethereal. an alternative to repeatable imbues would be update cube recopies to leave base ethereal.
