[Main Thread] - Can not create or join games - "character is already in a game"

Hey everybody,

Now that the servers are back online, any characters that got stuck today should free up within about an hour. If they get stuck for longer than 24 hours please post here so we can look into why this happened.

We’re still escalating the ones that are coming into this thread, but don’t have any other updates to share just yet.

We have a script running once every ~24 hours to remove [locked] characters. For those who have been online for much longer than that, your info has been forwarded to the engineers to see if they can find out what’s up.

The information we need to report this is going to be:

1. Time that your characters got stuck in game
2. What time zone you’re in
3. Platform (PC, PS5, XBox One, Switch, etc)
