I’d love to be able to disenchant magic/rare items features to create a base item.
Like magic war staff that can roll 6 sox, but ormus sells them magical.
cuz these by themselves are rare to drop. Like its elite Archon Staff.
And after cubing, it “rolls” a normal item with random stats and sockets like a normal/grey item could look like.
Or even a low/high quality one u wont be able to use for cubing if i recall correctly.
Adds another not so different mechanic into the game to help gear up.
Some cube recipe like:
= chipped gem + jewel + identify book =
or instead of the jewels, runes from 1-8 (el - ral)
That could give us more opportunities than “grinding only” to get these base items.
Still a cost but overall it rly works with the lore/world/setting of the game imo.

Rarity of items is part of the reason that this game is what it is.
Efforts in making it easier to attain some of the rarest items like bases is a step in the direction of dumbing down and simplifying the game.
It’s a slippery slope and one change to make the game easier invites more changes until D3 happens again

i see it more like qol since u gotta grind to get this and u still can get literally nothing useful.
Its nothing granted so i think it just changes the balance a bit but imo in a right amount and direction.
Nothing drastic since to get a perf base roll u rly would have to grind for all these items and get stuff along the way too
These runes fall from countess,
but chipped gems arent so common on hell so there is a downside in this alone.
This will help newcomers in some trading currency we gather along the way which could just get us some items from others.
Kind of a starter currency 
This could fasten a mid range gear up but wont do much in endgame item hunt.

I’m personally not a fan of making super rares easier to attain even if it is only a little. Just my opinion.
Besides new characters can easily make it to end game without coming close to end game gear, especially in softcore where you can just keep trying and never lose any loot.
