I like to enjoy this game just as much as you all probably do.
In hind-sight, if you weren’t here to experience the mass give-aways I did throughout the time of D2R… Here is what I did on the forums
(Friends only): about 1 month or so into launch of D2R, gifted 5 friends each an Ethereal Infinity Giant Thresher (runes + base)
(Friends only): I believe I gave out a care package of X amount of Bers / Jah’s (don’t really recall exactly).
(Forum only, everybody): This one I do remember… I did it one or multiple times… Posted a thread and crafted/streamed/recorded Call To Arms runewords workshop… Probably crafted 300 CTA’s in a few days, everything provided
(Friends only): I gave out the MJTR (Michael Jordan Tomb Reaver) – that was ultimately sold as it was not as Supreme as it was. gifted out 10x Ber runes to friends each.

Going to take ideas for now on this thread. I’d like to favor older members of the forums, familiar names, etc… (no offense), but that doesn’t mean totally exclude everybody else. Just ideas for now.

Oh yeah, but keep the ideas for only the Ladder (Softcore). Because I quit the hardcore scene

Here’s an idea. How about a build doctor by North? Take a few submissions (max roll planner or whatever), and then pick one to level up with an item or two. Impactful, personalized giveaways that someone will put to immediate use.
I’ve got no brainy ideas,just wanted to say i’ve recently had to move to traderie to sell because of a down turn in activity and theres no community or friendliness and I miss it here,still sell whatever I can here.The community on this forum is totes rad and I appreciate you and teemo,Deathhusk,wally and the like for always being innovative,fun and helpful!
I’m too new to the forums to qualify but look forward to seeing what you come up with and how it plays out! Something that might be interesting could be a crafting competition where the crafting items are provided and people see who can roll the most GG caster amulet or something.

I still use the 6/6 Crystal Sword CTA you rolled and gave me to buff with. From your brithday CTA giveaway I think. I was so addicted to rolling CTA but my luck with CTA was as bad as my luck with women.
But you put an end to that addiction. I mean the CTA rolling addiction. My luck with women is still as bad.

I’m currently in progress to being able to do things the way I’d like to be able to, so this is less for me (though I would greatly love this gift myself ha) but a lot of newer players tend to have that issue of being able to play the character they want due to not having the ability to get around the map the way they need to be able to farm. So it would actually be my opinion that a giveaway of an Enigma to newer players could actually go a long ways to helping them get started and not be forced to play sorc to do their mfing.

Its clear, give out the new runewords. Maybe so many full builds introduing the new runewords. Not sure how many ppl out there got full decked out chars revolving some of these new runewords. Or like a plague act5 merc set up. That woukd be preeety sweet.
