Sometime around the beginning of s1 Blizzard made a change that made circlets from level 24 on (from then on circlets show up at Gheed and Co.) be able to switch to coronets after every purchase.
This is unique in the game, because otherwise you can’t gamble for items with an ilvl higher than your clvl+5. (coronet ilvl = 51)
So from pov this is clearly a bug…
and it pushes the probabilities of finding a useful circlet for low level dueling close to impossible.
Sure you can refresh after every switch to coronet…
but this can sometimes take 20-30 attempts (personal record: 70!!! refreshes)… so it takes several minutes to gamble 10 circlets which are 99,99% garbage.
Clearly a bug! Fix this please.

Please fix this bug. Out of all the unfixed bugs in this game, this one is extremely high on my list for fixing. it makes gambling circlets at low level insanely annoying since you’re forced to refresh . It also can be used as an exploit since you can gamble coronets early and at prices much lower than you normally would.

update: I’m gambling at lvl 21 now to cut off some crap affix lvl 26 mods with req. lvl 19 like “(magic) dmg reduced by 3)” and nevertheless I just gambled a rare circlet with “magic dmg reduced by 3” → this clearly shows circlet gambling is bugged

Circlets always have a +3 level bonus when affixes are selected. When you’re gambling at clvl 21 affix range on circlets is up to 28.
FYI: Coronets have +8. Tiaras have +13 and Diadems have +18
