Loving Single Player

The main reasons why; no queues, /Players X, zero latency, more challenging.

The drawbacks; you currently can’t ever multiplayer, there’s temptation to mod.

I highly recommend giving Single Player a try.

*Know that I have a pretty decked out 90 Sorc online - torch, 117 fcr, etc.

But don’t you ever get lonely?

A couple days ago I would have completely agreed with you! But now I have come to realize 1 thing…. There is nobody to grief in single player!

I am Soloing but still Online. Blizz might fix multiplayer in time. I might try Multiplayer after I’ve beaten everything on Solo.

But I am really having a blast on Solo. No cheats. No carries, no powerful runes to carry you donated by other players, no ninjaing of your loots. Just a plain challenging and fun game.

I see you like Diablo 2…
I like Diablo 2 as well…
Do you wanna get together and you know…maybe…

Grief?
We could grief all over. All day. I can grief you and then you can turn around and grief me. I like getting rough with my griefing so I hope that is okay. We can even set up a safe word in case one of us is being griefed so hard we want it to stop.

Let me know.

First I’ll grief you by making a Baal run game and then farming elsewhere, then I will grief you by going to the same area you are trying to mf at and farming it faster than you. Then a ber rune will drop in front of us and I will grief you by picking it up faster than you!

I’ve been playing solo too but online - so if I ever want to play with people or pvp I can do.

Missing the /players 8 command though hope they allow it for bnet

Same here. I have my Necro up to 87 and Amazon at 70. My only real complaint is that PlugY is gone. I have nowhere left to store all my treasure.

This sounds so hot!

Please don’t tell my girlfriend, she gets so mad when I get griefed behind her back.

Save your offline files constantly to backup folder/drive. My dad kept losing Cube and Heart from Act 3 this week, and finally quit today when his PC crashed, and his character ended up deleted/missing. SP has many bugs still it seems, and the whole same name as online toon overwrite issue that was at launch (and perhaps still?) shows some weird connection to the servers for those files.

I mean… multiplayer is pretty much single player anyway- except for the ability to get rushed through the content. The vast majority of time spent is solo farming (because of the FFA loot system) for mf or keys or Ubers, etc. I find that I am stuck playing solo the whole time when I’d rather find something to do with other players.

There is an update for go mule that works with DiabloIIR, but it is only for single player. You can find it on Pure Diablo.

another karen crying about queue…jesus…

I still have hope for getting TCP/IP back, may be few years later.
Offline playing is a good way to test things out as we just add ‘-enablerespec’ command line and got countless respec lol.

I tried this yesterday but the UI was bugged out for me. Not sure what problem was.

lmao, what a true cancelling andy we have here

Wish I could get behind offline, but trading is a major part of the entertainment for me, as well as joining games to grind baal or help others do quests.

people don’t solo mf because of ffa loot lol

it’s because it’s more efficient

the meta mf routes don’t even make sense to run multiplayer

and there’s plenty of other multiplayer content

trading, xp runs (baal, chaos), questing new chars, etc

That’s not plenty of mp content. Baal runs and cows get stale- doing the same exact bit of content over and over. Trading isn’t something I enjoy, and more than that, I despise the spam of nonsense trading games posted in the lobby which amounts to begging, and making it near impossible to even find a game to actually play. Questing new characters amounts to rushing or getting rushed to bypass the vast majority of content.
