I was playing my Barb when I lost connection and it was due to the server being crappy because my buddy was going through the same issues earlier. I was able to log in a few minutes later only to find my character dead and I lost about a bar of exp which isn’t quick to get at level 89. Is there anyway Blizzard can or will restore my lost exp. when it was their fault I d/c because they don’t want to fork out money to support this game better?

I wasn’t playing Hardcore and it wasn’t my fault I died. It clearly was the server so that needs to be fixed.

I’m saying there are hardcore players that lose their character due to “server issues” and they don’t get anything back yet you are asking for exp back. Get over it, this nothing… Go do 2 baal runs, you’ll get the same exp back.

I just hit 90 so i know your pain with what a death costs you, but really just move on. Blizzard arent going to restore jack.
No, there is no way to restore lost items, characters, etc.
There are no second by second logs in Diablo games. It simply has a save snaphsot of the account. The game does not care WHY we die, just that we did. It will perform the mechanics that are programmed - which is loss of XP if you leave game without getting your body back.
On the good side, you DID get your body back and your gear. If you got DCed with multiple bodies you could have lost your gear too.

That’s fair. I hope there’s more quality of life in Diablo 4 when it comes to issues that only annoys many players and doesn’t make the game fun, challenging, or rewarding.
They have not discussed the death mechanics in D4 yet. D3 does not have the XP loss on death or the risk of losing gear. Some actually argue that D3’s death mechanics are TOO easy. heh. I would hope D4 also has fewer risks.
