Lost another HC

HC mode is generaly speaking a lot cleaner. A lot less people bot there. Playing SC online with deleting chars is not the same as playing hc mode.

Sounds like the problem could be between your computer chair and the keyboard, heh.

Hardcore punishes those who don’t possess excellent reflexes. It’s always been this way, that’s why the re-implemented the game using old-school net code underneath.

If it’s any consolation, you’d still be losing characters in 2004 or 2005 because of your poor reaction time, it’s how the game was made.

What do u mean loading from pc?

This…

Happens to every HC player

No, because you continue to play HC online despite full knowledge of Blizz and their servers. If you truly want to play HC online, then play SC online as if it were HC, and if you die legitimately, delete your character, voila. No more dying “because of Blizz”, it will only ever be your fault should you die/delete your character since any illegitimate/server deaths you can simply breathe a sigh of relief on that you’re playing on SC despite playing as HC.

Mrllama made a video about it. Basically you load maps from your computer instead of from battle.net and that improves loading time a lot , you can look the video up.

While I get the sentiment… this makes no sense. An entire game mode built into the design is undermined by this easily fixable bug. A bug that also affects SC players. Advocating for a fix is perfectly reasonable, rather than adapting to the bug.

We have gotten used to playing around the problems with D2 but its a commercially successful title now and under active development. Many players enjoy HC and a simulation of deleting your own char is simply not satisfying. One of the big differences is culture. HC players are very supportive and often find groups walking through an entire difficulty together. Sharing items, wps, and working together. Once you go into SC… its a cesspool of bots and glass cannons.

I would pick apart your entire comment, but I’m a bit too lazy, sorry. Needless to say, you’re wrong in many ways, but you do you boo

advanced tip #2. it extracts compressed data files for much faster loading times.

made a huge difference on my ancient 2015 macbook that i play d2r on via windows 10 partition

if you dont build a character that can survive 5-10 seconds of disconnect, you dont deserve to live in hardcore.

that’ll teach you not to ignore passives on amazon

no rule but … it’s buggy

the communities are different. it’s not just about deleting the character. you gotta play hc and join some groups =)

stick it to the man!!

I see what you’re trying to say but you’re missing a large consideration. That is trading. If you play SC, you are still trading with people who die.

HC is unique and super interesting in that there is no permanency. You cannot get that same trading meta in SC.

Though if your solo self found, there’s no problem with what you recommend.

a minimum of 20 in dodge at the very least is required after 2.4

i don’t feel like there are issues with server stability. There are just bugs and poorly implemented client that doesn’t bother to reconnect. And crashes.
