Loooooong Load times

Can we please discuss the long load screen that takes place when joining/creating games and between different areas in game? I thought there was a post that said they’d be removed for launch?

When I just go through wps in a solo game, within the same act, it might take a second or two. If I swap acts or I am in a game with others, these load screens take forever.

I have the same issue. I am running GTX 1060 6GB , i7-7700HQ, 16 GB RAM and game is on SSD. Tried lowering the graphics, but long loading times are still there. I also died couple of times because of that.

GTX 1070 here and 32 GB ram.
Load times are too long for this grinding game.
Speed is needed. Is there anything we can do from our side to prevent long loading times?

i got same issue, Geforce GTX 1050 Ti 8GB RAM, my loading screens are 40seconds + making a game, 2 seconds if I use waypoints in the act i’m in. And atleast 10-15 seconds switching acts. They need to make a hotfix for these loading screens, it demotivates people, it’s been atleast a week of my knowing, if not more. Come on blizzard…

How empty is your guy’s SSDs of free space?

SSD or NVME > net speed?

I had the same issue and fixed it. Here’s what I did

Load D2R > Open Task manager > Go to D2R and right-click

Select Priority and turn it to High Priority.

If you don’t have high priority then click show details

This will take you to the process details and you’ll see D2R.

Right click D2R and select priority and select high priority.

Next

Create a game and do some testing

I have a very nice CPU but for some reason, this game lags on max settings. I have all other games on max settings w/o issue. Including Call of Duty and others.

I went to the options tab and played with the settings. I found that the texture quality is what impacted my ability to load into a quickly, go through a tp quickly, a wp quickly etc.

I turned the texture quality as low as I could and went through a WP 5 or 6 times. I had little to no load time. I then adjusted some other settings to increase texture quality and graphics quality. I also turned of anti-aliasing as this causes performance issues across all games.

Also, why do we select high priority on the task manager? Because this will allow your PC processes to prioritize D2R and hopefully minimize any crashes you have, black screens, etc…

So I switched the graphics to old-mode and the load time is the same.

I’m still having these issues. And I’ve tried all the suggestions

Loading times shhould be improved, esp. these when switching acts.

Longest load times.
I moved from switch to PS4 trying to fix it and no

We can’t ,/players, multiplayer is completely busted, and load times for grinding solo are… Intense.
Wtf is this game
