Large charms are largely ignored by players because their mods don’t stack up against small and grand charms.
Example Affixes:
- Magic Find (small: 3-7%, large 1-6%)
- Fire Resistance (small 3-11%, large 4-15%)
- Strength (small 1-2, large 2-5)
- Life (small 5-20, large 6-35)
Single stat suffixes are the only area where large charms really are better. Considering most players fill their inventories with grand charm skillers, there should be some incentive to use these charms. Here are some suggestions for large charm affixes:
Suggested values:
- Maximum life increased from 35 to 50
- Maximum mana increased from 34 to 50
- All resistances increased from 8 to 10 (same as two small charms)
- Maximum damage increased from 6 to 8
- Single resistances increased from 15 to 24
- More max attack rating than 77
Thank you for your consideration.

I must admit, after I learned that large charms were garbage, and I didn’t need to spend time picking them up and identifying them, it made games more about killing monsters, and less about picking up Charsi food…
Not sure it would make D2R much more fun to add another category of items which players need to interrupt their gameplay to check/identify…
I think they suit their purpose as-is right now? You pick them up at the start of the ladder, and if they are any good, you use them… Then as the ladder season continues, you feed them to Charsi and replace them with better Small/Grand charms?
Understand your intent however… Let’s see what other’s think?
Large charms aren’t used in end game builds because you sacrifice a skill charm for each large charm in your inventory.
Small charms are only used because they fit beneath grand charms in your inventory (some exceptions to this of course).
Large charms are good for leveling.
Not all characters use skillers and this change won’t hurt the builds that do.
Buffing large charms would make getting top tier charms for your build much easier.

I wouldn’t mind if large charms were more competitive. It doesn’t feel like what they offer is between the small and the grand charms. They feel like the worst offering of the three. The bigger the charm (inventory space investment) the better the charm’s potential should be but large charms just suck really.
Honestly a problem for another patch.
