this is getting depressing. i don’t know how people are getting high runes. the highest i’ve seen drop is a fal, and i run hell countess, hell cows, mausoleum/crypts, chaos sanctuary, for hours every day.
It’s luck. I found 2 Los, 1 from chaos, 1 from fallen camp on my way to the pits
you mean just in the open tamoe highlands and not even in the lvl 85 zone?

You will get it sooner or later that’s for sure.
From my own experiences recently:
Got an ist, Ums, Puls and lems from countess
Got a Lo from player 1 cows.
Got a Vex from Baals throne room.
Got a Mal from pits.
Rng is the key here, there’s also people that keep getting bers.
IMO if you want a sure way to earn runes, just farms keys. And sell them in bulk, while also hunting for runes and items while at it.
i have 2 keys of terror. summoner and nithalak haven’t dropped any keys for me yet, and apparenlty terror is the worthless key becuase everybody kills countess
That’s lucky, I killed countess enough times to get around 20 keys, but best I got was a Lem
Terror keys are worth something,all keys are! Trust me. When you have like a lot of them just post it here you will see the offers.
Not to be a douche but ya you’re not really close to a Lo. Just keep going it comes down to luck. I don’t play much and I found Jah, Lo and ohm in the last couple weeks.
Best place may be cows but I found Jah in the pit and Lo from Andy.
Clearing speed. Kill it all AS FAST as possible, and keep moving to boxes, chests, hollow logs dead bodies… But don’t ever limit yourself to certain areas. All runes I have found have been out doors with exception of Pit run I landed a Jah 4 weeks ago.
i get runes all the time, but sadly it’s the lowest ones. ort, ral, amn, tir runes all day long. i got dozens of shael runes from combining.

Rune drops are not tied to MF at all. Neither are key drops. So it comes down to players in-game, and clearing speed.
It’s just luck and, like that other guy said, kill speed. I like javazon for rune farming cuz they kill multiple enemies really quick. I just do pit and cows.
For the sake of efficiency in the long run, assuming you’re a Cold Sorc, I would suggest simply doing Meph, AT and Pindle and trade what you find for HRs instead of targeting farming HRs. That’s been the most effective way for me any way.

yet i find nothing worth anything more than the mid runes i’ve already found. goldwrap, skin of the vipermaji, etc. i got magefist gauntlets but i use those on my sorc, and tals. it’s like finding tal armor and ammy used up all my RNG luck.
diablo dropped a facet for me earlier today, but it’s the worst one i’ve ever seen, a 3/3 poison facet. it’s like if they aren’t 5/5 they’re considered worthless, and i’ve never seen anyone looking for a poison facet in the first place.
i keep finding magic find charms.

If you are hunting for runes, go for extreme clear speed with no magic find, runes are not tied to your mf. Clear the high population areas fast and move on.

Cows
Vipermaji stick on yer Sorc… AND here’s a news flash… (and I’m Going to sound like a dick here) We all have certain things we find. Play to those strengths, and stop the weakness in whining about what you THINK you have IN A “LUCKY STREAK” I’ve farmed this game for YEARS with nothing to show for it.
This is why, as others have already said, clear speed is important. Instead of doing many different L85 areas, choose one you can clear in the least amount of time and rinse and repeat. Eventually, you’ll find items worth something decent and at the same time, you’ll still have a shot at high rune drops while you do this.
