Do you think during the authenticator servers being down, this would make an ideal opportunity to have the option of other multiplayer much like the original Diablo II and Diablo II LOD?
Personally having the option to play with friends and family while the servers are being fixed would give me the chance to still enjoy the game during the weekend. I think their reason for not having it is to reduce cheating, and to keep more control over the modification of the game. Still I would prefer it over waiting for the servers to be fixed.

yes… i always played that way for the most part, that way I didn’t have to worry about internet lag, and could still play with family and friends in a self hosted game…

Yeah, it should have never been removed from the game. They need to add it back in asap.

and add back my assassin good looks at the same time… lol…
Agree it would be better if we had Local LAN ability.
I’d probably use it more than I use Online.

Well if you’re offline then mods should fix that soon enough.
+1 Yes, for bringing it back

Lucky you, must have one HECK of a beast under your desk to run a D2 server
TCP/IP should’ve never been removed. I almost cancelled my purchase because of it. Being the D2 fan that I am, I decided to give it a go anyway. I definitely regret that decision. I love the QoL updates, controller updates and the fresh coat of paint, but I’m tired of ActiBlizz.

yeah, i did not know when I purchased… I even upgraded to windows 10 for this game haha… Then I run game for the first time and look… what the heck…
I’ve only shouted this from the mountain tops ever since they stupidly took it out. I’ve been called a cheater and someone who is living in the past, hanging on to old technology. Now folks will maybe see that this was the worse mistake Blizzard could have made? Probably not though.
