It’s trash. 90% of the games are stale with 1 player and 2+ hours old. It keeps refreshing while you are trying to read the names. Its impossible to find people to play with because its spammed with useless dead games.
A good start would actually be making simple lobby filter options, rather than just difficulty. If only 2 filters were added for example “filter games older than 10 minutes” and a keyword filter so you can type “baal” and see games that have baal in the title, it might be a decent experience for players.

Bliz pls, having to repeatedly refresh and spend half the time playing spent looking for cow, baal, or tomb runs gets old after a while.

Maybe between doing rollbacks and deleting characters they could contact the Project Diablo 2 mod developers and ask them how to make a decent UI for the lobby. I mean if a streamer on Twitch can make a filter to type words like Baal and search all available games why cant a billion dollar company figure it out. I really have to ask my self also the joining games for runs is a pain in the you know what. They should get advice on how to auto enter game name into little box. Ya know like you join a game called baal007 then leave game and it sees the game has a number after it and auto enters baal008 for you or hell I would be happy with just the name of the last game left in the box after I finished the game again its not rocket science if a streamer can do it why cant a team of developers backed by billions of dollars do it? Makes no sense at all.

i mean part of the “resurrection” should be the chat room and game finder as well. How about tabs for boss runs, or trading, or whatever. Also, let you sort by popularity and most recent. Also, list all the games, instead of the 20 that always pop up even if you refresh the list.

sadly in D2R we cant even click the name to the game to make it appear in the join box…yet PD2 can do it all and more…wtf?

Plus when you click on a game, it should populate that game name in the field above. Sometimes you’re like “Oh I should join that one!” ““Refresh!!”” “Crap, what was the name again?” *keeps on looking at games…

game is a complete mess. Lobby browser is bad for PC. On consoles the party finder doesn’t even work. 99% of the time you’re alone. Feels like a SP game on consoles. While PC it’s so hard to browse and find a game you want.

^yeah I was gonna say be glad you guys even HAVE a lobby and game names on PC. It’s borderline impossible to play with otehr people if you don’t have friends on console. It’s SO BAD. Inexcusably, infuriatingly bad.
You just click a particular quest, then hit “go.” Cross your fingers someone else is not just on that quest, but I assume made an entire room based on just that quest.
The worst part is that instead of going “we couldn’t find a room - create one?” it just automatically creates one, so you get to sit through a very long loading screen just so you can exit and try again (and likely fail). I really hoped they’d learned from d3 console that was so baddddd, it sucked but at least it was easy to go in and out of games quickly.
Sigh. I feel utterly robbed.

The disastrous lobby/game list has probably wasted as much of people’s time as being locked out of their characters for hours at a time.
Hard to imagine they could have thought this would work well and decided to launch without a better filtering system.

at this point, i’d have much rather them KEEP the original D2LOD game and just build an expansion.
Chat lobby is a complete fail, friends-list is so confusing and annoying, the character selection screen is so IN YOUR FACE – I hope they figure something out soon, so we don’t lose a big player base.

glad I’m not the only one that thinks this lol. needs a filter at least. I’ve seen one on 2 different OG mods and I’ve also seen an injectable .dll for OG that added a simple filter text field AND it pulled more games quickly and removed the refresh thing entirely so all you had to do was type “baal” or something and wait a few seconds. every second it pulled more games so after a few seconds you would be able to see every game on the server. the game list should just work this way, with no refresh or maybe make the refresh button actually do that because it takes too long to retrieve elapsed time and players after clicking on a game.

they should do like project diablo 2…search, filters and auto sort your new game after quiting a “baalrun1” it now becomes “baalrun2”

I agree. For me, it’s impossible to imagine that Blizzard’s developers can be less competent than mod developers.

Another way to fix this is have the user choose which games to hide as a right click option to hide the game forever. I never tried this but maybe the Report Game Name already does this so it should be simple enough to implement if it is.
