I want to be able to turn off the red square for additional stats and skills when I level up.
As a hardcore player, being in the middle of a fight and leveling up I find that these have the potential to cause a death.
It has yet to happen, but if I have to manually remove them mid fight it’s taking my focus away briefly or I leave them but they are blocking valuable screen space.
Yeah i had to say i had issues with it also.

Leveling up in the middle of a fight heals you, so I’m not sure what would kill you unless you’re facetanking stygian dolls
Once you click on it doesn’t it hide itself? I don’t understand.
Yeah you click on it but it will bring up the character or skill screen and you have to exit it.
The point being it gets in the way
You must not play a lot of D2 to know how quickly you can die from something’s.
The heal from level up is irrelevant because you’re normally full HP anyways.
Most deaths in HC are the ones that come instantly.
It’s the clutter on screen that has the potential of killing you
If you know HC then you know how important the little things matter
non issue for 99.99999999999% of players.
It’s annoying but I remap most of my keys and just have stats in convenient location to quickly double tap. Makes the red onscreen button go away.
Like I said it’s been a non Issue for me just the fact that there’s a chance to die to screen clutter and it’s an easy fix.
But thanks for your unnecessary comment for something that takes no effort to fix
It’s not the annoyance it’s the chance that it gets in the way in that brief moment and you die in HC to it.
I hope to never die to it but man would that be frustrating to die to poor UI

Im not sure what you mean, it doesnt automatically bring up the stat and skill menu, its just a few small red boxes.It doesnt for me anyhow

The red boxes cover mobs and get in the way of clicks momentarily
Just don’t want to see anyone lose a HC hero to something so simple to hide

It’s always the toxic ones that block others and think it’s always everyone else that’s the issue.
Classic badhabits
I could see the boxes on screen and accidentally clicking one covering up some of your skill/stat screen but Ive played D2 since the launch of the vanilla and Ive never actually had this become an issue and ive leveled up at least 250 HC players.Ive accidentally clicked the box and it brought up my stat menu but ive never had any problems.Ive actually had more problems with accidentally clicking my mercs icon and it bringing up his inventory on my screen.Im not sure how this would cause a death though cause all you have to do is hit esc.I mean they could personalize the screen for notifications but until now Ive never seen someone actually say this is an issue
Yeah I haven’t had the issue either because it’s such a brief moment in time but I wouldnt mind seeing the ability to hide it all because it is a momentary distraction. HC players know how little I can take to die so hiding extra clutter is good. They let you hide belt potion clutter
