Good morning yall I believe in my heart andhalf in my head that the majority of players on D2 res. classic would prefer the skill tree to be PRE-synergies. Personally I do not like it and I am guessing for others, so Id like to hear opinions humbly. Lets vote to see the truth…even if you dont play classic, if you want to be non bias and pretend you played, vote … but my little useless opinion is that the synergies make it not really classic … I would love the older patch or game whatever its called too long ago im 36, been playing since day one never quit and dont live in my moms basement… this game actually means alot to many of us.

its time to drag classic out of the dark ages… Terminate the classic game and force the player base into LOD… there is no loss as you already have their money.
I prefer pre-synergies. I like the idea of synergies, but it never made sense in a game where there are hard immunities that can’t be damaged by certain elements. It was easier to make a mixed build back in the day that actually had good damage. Now it’s like you have to go one element to get the most out of synergies or choose to do two elements and end up with two weaker skills. Not all characters even have the skill points to do this also.

CLASSIC should be based on 1.06 + bug fixes, probably the best D2 patch.
Everything has a sense in 1.06, unlikey in 1.10 which killed CLD2, almost every CL Player will agree!
Give me CL 1.06 with forced 640:480 emulated zoom and I can forget about LoD.

With how easy we can walk through the game now I like pre synergies. It would bring damage down a bit so my smiter would still handle Ubers just fine but not to the point we’re I can stand in the middle of all 3 and not die. And I think freeing up those extra skill points would let people try more hybrid builds that could be more fun

Pre. But with a buff to summon nec so he’s actually viable without synergies.

Classic is abandonware… bring it up to modern standards so that players will join. Add microtransactions to enhance the player investment in the game and add inventory space.
