With OW 2 going on Steam, it wouldn’t surprise me to see them start adding more games there. Especially since MS owns them now.

I really hope so I much prefer to have steam app running than the blizzard app any day of the week.

Blizzard themselves stated that MORE games will join Steam in the near future. OW2 was just the start. Since it is a free game, it makes a lot of sense.

So the question is…which one will be next? I would love to see D2R, while I wonder if they do that, would owners of the Battlenet version also be able to get a free steam key for it?

This deserves more emphasis. It’s not a tiny detail, but a game changer.
In case of free games, we just download and install them on different platforms (launchers).
But in case of paid games, I hope we won’t get this anti-feature of purchasing game on one platform and being unable to play it on another one (which is now the case between PC/consoles, but having it between two PC platforms would mean a whole new level of absurdity).

Its good idea actualy. But overwatch is there because it struggle and they needed player injection.

Does ow has achievememts in steam actualy?

Many games on steam now require second launcher from game’s company anyway like Rockstar, EA, Ubisoft games. You end up with 2 launchers in the backround. I didn’t try OW 2 so not sure but I guess it’s the same and doubt Blizz would bother adding Steam accounts support.

There’s option to quit battle net app while game run… end of story
