Lets give them some time

lets wait and see give em a chance to work on it, the issue where your character is already in a game still happens on the original bnet d2 all the time, its probably because of the coding which is ancient, not sure im pretty dumb with any tech knowledge… but all im saying is give blizz sometime… take a breather chill and lets see how it goes

people seem to have no chill over this. Everybody should have known there would be server issues around launch. it happens to just about every game that ever comes out

20 year old game.

“give them time”

There, I fixed it for you.

lmao. thank you miss teacher

Betas are for working on these issues.

They did very short limited betas and clearly should have done a proper open beta where this could have been tested.

You shouldn’t really support poor dev practices such as not beta testing their product. This isnt an EA title nor does the player base even compare to Diablo 2 at its peak.

You can expect Blizzard to make a hash of things on launch, but still be annoyed by it.

Still, so far this is nothing like my experience on the launch day for Wow where it took me 9 hours to make it through the logon servers so I could create a character then the server I was playing on went down for a week.

Ah. the good old days…

How much time are we talking about here? I mean how much patience does an average person have? They havent even posted a thing on the blizzard launcher?

They literally just posted a thing fml.

It’s actually completely unacceptable to have communication this poor during the launch of a new game, even for Blizzard who has extremely poor and limited communication in general.

These are not minor issues. Rollbacks are one of the worst things you can have happening in an online game. People need to trust that their data is safe on your servers. Rollbacks are also one of the major ways to dupe items, so if rollbacks are happening this frequently, it’s a pretty bad omen for the future of this game.

The fact that they don’t communicate for hours at a time while thousands of players are unable to play their game suggests things are even worse behind the scenes than we may have guessed. They likely ran into some pretty serious issues and have no solution yet.

To be honest, anyone who heard that Ladder was not going to be available ‘at launch’, should have known Blizzard expected this clusterf…

& Let’s get real… this Bnet wasn’t beta/stress tested near enough. But, Blizzard knew the product itself was 99% complete. So be darned, D2R was going to get released in Q3 (even if it is still running on a beta Bnet).

I think they’ll fix it within a week, like usual… but it is another bumpy launch to add to a long line of bumpy Blizzard releases, during a time when they can least afford any more bumps in the road.
