Legendary Items

I’ve been mulling this over for awhile and keeping thinking it could be a good one. I know Legendary items exist in Diablo 3 and I’m just…not touching that topic. D3 was fun originally when Inferno was a next level difficulty; but the game just got to be too much of the same for me after that.

The concept is simple, we introduce “Legendary Items”. Legendary Items can only be made from Unique Armor and Weapons. So things like Jewels, Rings, and Amulets would be out.

Legendary Items are created by taking Elite Uniques and Set Items and crafting them in the cube with a Standard of Heroes. Now, to clarify, the Elite items do not have to be inherently unique. For example, you could cube Nightsmoke up to a Mesh Belt and then turn it into a Legendary Unique item; but you’d have to cube it up.

Legendary Items are simply enhanced versions of the item as it already exists and players may only use up to 1 (maybe 2) legendary item at a time.

The added or changed values will have asterisks added before them. Some of the Legendary Set Items would have added set piece bonuses. Meaning you would only receive them if you used the Legendary Set Item plus a few other pieces of the set.

Some of you are going to come in and say “OMG That’s too powerful!”; but just keep in mind the idea. Try to make comments on the concept, not necessarily the power levels of the example items.
