I’ve never played POE. Ever. But I would rather slug through learning an entirely new game than NOT being able to play this 23 hours out of the day.
This launch was more of a joke than typical blizzard launches.
Good luck everyone.

Cya (20 characters).
I just crashed into a 150+ person queue and am now also installing PoE. This is friggin nuts…
Hopefully it scratches the ARPG itch better than this dumpster fire.
INB4 the white knighting whack-jobs come in here and say “I play with 35 million people and none of us have ANY of these problems you’ve listed”. Mark my words.
PoE is really fun, but can be overwhelming. Just go slow and enjoy the gameplay without worrying about all of the other stuff for a while. I think a lot of us are going to PoE again or for the first time. I’ve seen several people say the same thing on JSP too.
Getting an idea of the kind of build you want to play will help though also. Go look at the pathofexile forums and check under each character class. People post tons of builds.
Yeah, I’ve played, but haven’t recently due to time constraints, which is my only gripe, is that I feel I need more time to sit down with that game than most others. It’s a great game though.
I was fan of Blizzard and especially hyped for D2 as that’s probably my favourite game. Now I feel scammed and I’m losing interest to play each day. Well done. Absolutely nothing done to prepare servers for this game. Alpha and beta testing were just marketing promotion.
For what it’s worth, POE ‘was’ damn good when i played it. It’s gotten to be a little too much for me over the years, but, it still has all that i liked, and much more. Even if i have left it behind, i would recommend checking it out to any true arpg fan. I think its probably a must play at that point.
I’m having a blast. IDK what to say
The worst is now you have to like plan to play. I work from home and had 30 mins for lunch scheduled before my next meeting. Figured I could do a few pindle runs while eating. Lol 35 minute login queue I guess not.
I guess I could have anticipated it and tried to login earlier but unlike a lot of the hardcore players to me this is a game. I don’t plan around it and I don’t live to play it. It’s a fun thing I try to squeeze in time for here and there and when I feel like playing.
i had played poe for too long, to the point that i am literally sick of it, i don’t think i can try a new league anytime soon
there’s just too much garbage content there, and they keep adding more and more garbage every league
good old d2 now looks like salvation rather than an outdated game from the early 2000s.
This is exactly how i felt after quite some time. But, as a closed beta supporter, i truly did love the direction it started out in. Still got Signed disc, and T-Shirt though its on life support these days. Hell, unless they did away with the credit roll, i’m in there too.
Super excited to dive in. One of my buddies has like 3k hours and has offered to do a bit of hand-holding to get me started. Already decided on builds and everything. We’re just waiting for Scourge to drop so we can no-life it together.
adios muchacho. still having 100000x more fun with d2r than poe & d3 combined.
no reason you can’t play both… I intend to return when either blizzard gets their **** together or the playerbase drops so harshly that it no longer matters
PoE feels like a fulltime job to learn all the crap in it.
I don’t know who this Poe Guy is but he sounds awesome.
of course you could play both, poe & d3 just aren’t worth playing for my taste. i only stopped playing classic d2 to play poe & d3 just because of the resolution, finally got tired of the made in paint look after 10 years… d2r has been a blessing, back to the game i much prefer and it isn’t causing my eyes to bleed.
Do you not play multiplayer in D2R or what? The queue and the game creation limitations/lockouts have made multiplayer a terrible experience.
