I had a white 3 bone spear wand and I used Lazurk socket quest and it gave me 1 socket?
Lazurk socket quest always gives max socket on item?
I now lost the item and a lazurk socket quest…Blizzard can you do anything right?
The amount of sockets you get is based on item level i.e. where you found it. For instance depending on what monster drops a crystal sword you may get between 3 and 6 depending on drop location and monster level.

This. I really wish Blizzard would have put ilvls on items so people don’t waste their quests like this.

It’s not necessarily that 1 socket is the max socket for a certain wand, it depends on where you found the item also. The ilvl determines how many max sockets it can get too.
For example, if I find a crystal sword in Act 3 and use my socket quest on it, it can only get 3 sockets. If I find it in A5/normal cows, it will get 4 sockets from my quest.
Cool idea! I was imagining a sort of preview window to see the outcome socketed item the quest will give.
