Laying of hand 350% to Demon

Hi, if a Magezon (Bow using Fire and Cold damage) is using Laying of hand, does the 350% applies to freezing arrow and EA? or it only works with Multishop and strafe?

  1. It will modify your weapon based damage, nothing else.
  2. However, if you have a skill like “Lightning Bolt” that says “Converts 3/4ths of your weapon damage into Lightning Damage” that 350% from LoH will actually effect that damage because the damage is based from your weapon damage.
  3. The 350% will not effect anything that does not directly come from weapon based damage.

So the damage from Freeze Arrow or Immolation Arrow, will not be effected by the 350%. That damage is +skill based only.

Cool, thanks alot. Many guide I found online only stated Melee or Range attack like Bow, but was not clearly stated Only physical attack from Bow and not elemental.

Not sure if it was clear enough so: If you directly(!) hit an enemy with an elemental arrow it will still cause the physical damage that an normal arrow would deal, and that IS affected by ed, ml, cb,… so yes LoH kinda works.

But the additional effect from the skill and the splash damage some skills have is elemental damage, and that’s not affected by ed, cb, doesn’t trigger ml (but works with MAEK).

I do notice increase in damage with my freezing arrow while i am doing CS run and killing Diablo with laying of hand, hence i am still confuse lol

Your actual arrow which has physical damage based on the bow you are using is effected by the 350%.

The Freeze Arrow damage “the cold damage” is skill based only. It comes off the actual arrow after the actual arrow hits, and is not effected by Laying Of Hands.

I don’t really know how much damage i do, but i did a testing on killing diablo, Laying of hand kill diablo faster then my +3 Skill glove. my total Freezing arrow skill is 44 with +3 gloves and 41 with laying of hand

That’s because Freezing Arrow has bad damage. Your physical bow damage is the bulk of your damage anyway. This is why when people realize this, they begin to understand why Frost Maiden builds are sort of useless in the end-game, and then they begin converting their setup towards a purely physical based Bowazon.

But I assure you that the 350% on the gloves is working in the way that myself and PaChu have explained to you. That 350% damage is NOT amplifying any of your cold damage. It is only amplifying your physical damage on the bow.

I wouldn’t call them useless, but i’d also prefer hybrid over “100% Frostmaiden”. Strafe e.g. is a great addition to an frostmaiden, and should work quite well with some highlords and gores. And lycanders is quite cheap to get and upped an very nice budget bow for FA/Strafe hybrid.

If you have 70% crit from maxing crit skill. Deadly strike only works on the 30% where you don’t crit. So Deadly Strike %, is a % of the 30% where you don’t crit. Deadly strike is for other classes.
