Curious if By lawyers play and their take on this.
Seems like lawsuit but I’m not. Expert haha.
Maybe we can scare them into action

Lawyers come forth and demand action meanwhile the developers are working on a fix?
Servers are full…there are no law suits for a product being in more demand than intended.
Everyone wants a ps5 but there isn’t enough supply…should we sue Sony because we don’t get what we want when we want it?
Ya this analogy isnt quite right. A better one is “Sony allows unlimited PS5 pre-orders, despite knowing they can’t deliver on all these orders, and CONTINUES to allow pre-orders following complaints”. Does that sound like fair business practice to you?
Uhh it’s more like we actually bought a ps5 and it works only certain hours of the day.
Uh I have a xbox anyways so I’m not sure what ps5 has to do with severs across all consoles. And it has nothing to do with the que or player population and everything to do with their no budget servers.
Good point Jupes
But they are coming with a fix for the problem
I saw another post saying that they are only planning on “fixing” the chat and custom lobbies if enough people complain.
To me this means they are aware of the problem and do not want to fix it.
What a joke.
Considering this is a digital only release… They could tell full well how many were sold and would have been able to expect it.
To say they “have too many players” makes it sound like a victory when the real comment of “we don’t have enough servers” sounds like a failure on their part.
Both saying the same thing and both being 100% predictable. Also inferring that “current gaming and grinding” have messed it up couldnt be predicted by a company who literally invented it, is insulting. In top of that - there is literally a genre of games that exist now because of diablo. So to not be aware of how current players play when these other games exist is laughable at best.
I understand, but we’ve been through this charade so many times now. This is like the McDonald’s ice cream machine being broken all the time. Sometimes there’s actually a explanation beyond “we’ve been caught off guard”, and the product is working as intended, or at least, as well as could work within circumstances that the company is well aware of. Those circumstances usually involve really bad planning.
And I certainly would hope they’re working to fix it! Is doing nothing really an alternative?
A lawsuit? Buddy, Blizzard is already facing enough litigation as it is, no need for a new lawsuit that they’ll probably settle out of court and you’ll get 5 bucks for.
So ur a lawyer then ? Or no?
since when? since the day of release?
Question:
Why are Blizzard still selling the game with the attitude of a Mulitplayer-Game even if they know it isn´t a mulitiplayer at the moment.
In German Law we have something like: with aware intention selling something which obviously doesn´t work causes damage claims…
So…just to think about it…
Thats kinda what I’m hinting at. False advertising I’m not a lawyer was hoping to find one on here to shed some light cause this Def seems like legal action could be plausible.
I am just a german lawyer ;). In the US you have more rights as a customer than we have. So good Look to find a US Lawyer.
I´ll be with you !
Lawyers may advocate for action, but developers prioritize resolving issues. High demand doesn’t warrant lawsuits. Scarcity, like with PS5s, isn’t a legal issue; it’s a market challenge. Lawsuits don’t ensure immediate gratification. Supply and demand imbalances require strategic business responses, not legal action.

There are no supply and demand issues with a digital release. The issue with the queue was that they continued to sell the game, while claiming that they servers couldn’t handle the amount of players that it had. So they implemented a queue to limit the amount of people that connect, resulting in long wait times to get online. It was resolved a long time ago, you are responding to a 2 year delay old post, but it was definitely unethical.
Like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, this topic has reemerged after a 2+ yr sabbatical.
