So the latest patch was the implementation of their updated anti cheat (obfuscation library) measure, named Eidolon. Which was first implemented in Overwatch in June of 2024.

So basically, just standard maintenance.

General belief is that it will only take a couple of weeks for the botters to crack it, so it sounds like they gave them just enough time to have things ready for the season 13. All in time for the Valentine’s Day sale.

Some are saying that they’ve already found the workarounds.

Feels bad, man.

Maybe the China release will eliminate some of that. How many botters do you figure are Chinese?

The D2RC will not affect Chinese botters that are botting on international servers.

I remember in wow there were more chinese gold farming bots in the US servers than there were in the Chinese servers. Same’s probably true for Diablo too. RMT is an international “business”.
