I agree this one was too short. I was just getting started!
If bots didn’t exist, ladder seasons would last longer.
Be sure to do your part and not open your wallet to purchase items.

Only purchase runes to trade to me for items I farm.

There is nothing to do except leveling and even this has been trivialized
I would agree if there was an official holy grail
Or a king of the Hell mechanic
Such challenge could be so arduous that completing it could take a whole ladder worth of efforts and cooperation
but blizzard would never improve this game

Too long for me. 8 weeks fine.
Play classic hardcore you are all overindulged in easy mode gear. Going back to the core game will remind you of the fun.

I play classic and xpac. 3 months feels a bit long for me. I make time for what I wanna do like most people, and I’m an adult with a home to take care of, bills to pay, etc. I know the game and what to do and get done what I set out to do efficiently so I can get back to adulting while not feeling like i missed out on the game I love. Majority of the player base is done in the first month or so. Some may last a little longer into month two, but by then trading is trash, and less people playing. Burnout has set in and people take a break til next reset or they go play something else. longer ladders would only cater to the minoority. To those I say non ladder is there for you.
You should come join the classic group on The Throne room.
Have to agree that if you want a challenge, Classic is where it’s at. You only have access to the original 5(no Sin or Druid), Exceptional and Elite Uniques do not exist(along with Elite items in general. Exceptional only exists for Normal/Magic/Rare, no Exceptional Set or Uniques), no Runewords, no Torch, no Anni or Skill charms buffing the living snot out of your character. Unique Rings/Amulets are significantly curtailed since the only ones that drop are Nokozan Relic, Eye of Etlich and Mahim Oak-Curio for Amulets; Nagelring, Manald Heal and SOJ for rings.
With what I’ve said above, I’d rank the classes in the following order: Paladin, Sorceress, Barbarian, Necromancer and Amazon. Hammerdin dominates as it always does, just can’t kill as fast due to lack of +Skills and Teleport(FoHdin is a plausible alternative but requires group play to shore up its Animal/Beast vulnerability and will eat Mana Pots quite a bit unless you pump points into Energy. It would yield Conviction though, an insanely useful aura, hence something to explore in a group. There’s also Meditation but then theres Mana Pots…). Blizz Sorceress is arguably the only choice for Sorceress due to Cold Mastery. Just skip Cold Immunes on Hell since they cannot be broken(Conviction usually cannot help you even if in a party with one. Yet if it can… Cold Mastery does the rest). WW Barbarian smashes but requires some gear(notably a weapon) to truly shine. Necromancer, I recall, is underrated on Classic but I’d only advise it if you’re familiar with it already. Only viable build with it is Bone though but Curses + Corpse Explosion could do wonders in a group. Amazon is really the one class that struggles. Bow is complete trash and Javazon is largely relegated to the normal Javelins you start with since Rare/Magic Javelins cannot spawn on Classic(for some odd reason). That means if you opt for Javazon, get used to going to town to replenish and you will struggle on Hell due to Immunities(pretty much relegated to a party with a Conviction Paladin if you do).

Ladders are only good for a week at most now.
If they reset every month, that would be fine.
Such short seasons feel like a rat race.
I wouldn’t mind if there were more players in HCNL… but that place is barren.
I believe that 3 months are too short. Maybe something between 3-4 months, because 4 months is also too long sometimes.

After one weak i would start the another season,
because the botters after 24-36 hours we already have level 99 chars with enigma and infinity.
After 6-10 short season the walletwarriors wallet become thin and we can start a normal longer season.
I think this is a proper idea, we could lobby at Blizard with this

I don’t play all the time. I mean I have an expansion HCL character that hasn’t even passed Act 1 yet because I’ve been too lazy to move along and progress. Been farming Hell Countess and Pit when I do make it online. Yet I remember playing Classic years ago with friends and it was a real eye raiser when I found out that only a handful of builds even stand a chance on P1, much less on P3+. If I did find a group though, I may try a FoHdin on classic with Conviction. It struggles against Animal/Beast and especially without a Merc to tank for it but the perks it provides a team are quite advantageous. I’ve also considered rolling max Cleansing with Prayer synergy on it since removing Curses can be a very nice perk in CS(ditto Meditation but I think Mana Pots kind of make that moot).
yeah we are making a teamup place, i have a new throwbaba going in classic HC non ladder… its harder here and that makes it awsome.
