So was playing with my sorc on nightmare, in the middle of chapter 4, and decided to finally use my respec. But when I start to do my stats I thought ‘maybe if I hold shift, it’ll use 10 points at a time’. No, I don’t know why I thought this.
So now I have a sorc with 290 str and no points anywhere else, no respecs open.
This girls effectively dead right? There’s no way to fix this is there?
I did this same thing. I luckily at least did it with vitality. Unfortunately no there is no fix. I suppose try to get rushed through NM to get to hell and get your last respec or get the token for new respec.
Thanks for the reply. I’ll just start a new character, if I can’t get a character there myself, it doesn’t deserve to be in hell.
You can always go back and solo the content afterwords, but fair enough I understand where you are coming from.
you could buy a respec’s worth of essences and respec.
can someone sell/give him a token of absolution? Could he get one from a trading site?
This game is really unforgiving.
Especially for people (like myself) who’ve grown accustom to things like “buy back tabs” and “confirm choice/selection” buttons etc.
I bricked my first two pallies in thier 40’s repeccing. Just emptied them out and deleted them.

But tbh vita is not bad. Just level a bit to get a few points into strength to wear your gear. I think it is possible to continue. Pls try it.

He never begged for a token. He just wanted to check if there was a way to revert. When there isn’t, he even resigned to just starting over.
How is he supposed to farm the token when he is still in nightmare. With all of his stat points in STR, his HP pool will be rather low and will have a heck of time in Hell.
If I played online and had a token floating around, I’d give him one.
Why else would you post this on the forum go ahead give him your tokens 
He knows exactly what he’s doing. Maybe your his friend and your both too bad to be able to make your own tokens yet.
Get farming up that new character in future don’t be such a noob

originally there would have been no way to fix this, however in 1.14 the respec system was patched in allowing 1 respec per difficulty from the den of evil quest.
alternatively you can make a token of absolution buy getting essense from the hell versions of
andy/duriel
mephisto
diablo
baal
and use that to respect
if you are on nightmare u should still have your hell den of evil quest open to fix this, or you can trade for a token, if you are only in nightmare though it might be more effective to just make a new character.
you should be able to trade a “larsuk socket quest” for a token at this point

Token is nothing… Anyone who beat hell can just farm it… Even if he was asking for a token, what’s wrong with it? It’s not like he would be asking for some high endgame item. Tokens are basic commodity for most players now.
