Just start reporting anyone that mentions JSP anywhere

If it really is a problem for a lot of you, start flooding Blizzard with reports of it.

What I find extremely interesting is how people who use D2JSP actually say it’s illegal to sell any type of Blizzard account or product on EBAY for several reasons, mainly because it says so right in the TOS. Same with account sharing.

Blizzard has already fully outlined several times, that 3rd party sites like D2JSP are against the TOS because the forum gold is the equivalent of actual currency. Furthermore, what a lot of people do not know about D2JSP, is the FG can be converted into actual money via a transfer.

The dumbest manipulation argument I’ve read so far on this forum, was from people who love to use Semantics as a method to argue.
This discussion involved multiboxing software is now considered a cheat and Blizzard will ban people for using any form of it.

There was a topic here on the D2R forum in which a blue post outlined the actual comment from Blizzard about multiboxing software in general, from questions and comments which came from a topic in WoW. The manipulation part came from these clowns who tried using the argument, that species WoW, not D2R.

What the people arguing about it only being WoW seem to not grasp is that WoW was just the example and what the blue post replied with, was an actual TOS guideline itself which means it applies to every Blizzard game not just WoW.

People who want to manipulate how they want things to be, will use any type of tactic or wording to get around being wrong. Case in Point, the people who use D2JSP will argue that D2JSP is perfectly fine and will always point something out to get around being wrong. (Just as the trolls did with that topic about multiboxing in WoW). The bottom line is this:
If Blizzard says something is a TOS violation, then guess what, is a TOS violation. That’s all there is too it. What Blizzard chooses to do is up to them.

Just because nothing happens to a person or right way, does not mean you haven’t violated any ToS. Anyone using that as a baseline to try and argue their case against that, is a troll.

My entire point to this whole topic is simple:
Anyone who advertises D2JSP is clearly using it. So if D2JSP really bothers people to the point it is, then start a petition to get anyone advertising it, banned and see where that goes.

Maybe something happens, maybe not, maybe something doesn’t happen right away, but does later on who knows. Either way it’s Blizzards decision, So let them sort it out, but in the meantime, there is nothing anyone can do about it. And to all you using D2JSP, just because Blizzard has not taken action against you, does not mean Blizzard doesn’t care or what you’re doing isn’t against the ToS.

The main problem with any companies ToS is there is no consistency about anything in it.
The way I see it is if something is against the ToS, then enforce it… End of discussion.

Non-enforcement of ToS violations are why all online games are out of control. If strict enforcement of a games ToS was applied, people would get the message not to do something. But instead there is all this favoring, vague wording and wording manipulation.

If I ran an online game and did not want players to be using multiboxing software all you have to do is say this in the ToS:
Any use of multiboxing software for any reason in any of our products, will result in the permanent termination of your account. This termination cannot be appealed for any reason.
No reimbursement of any kind will be issued to any account terminated this way.

If I either selectively enforce that, or not at all, then I am at fault and would have no business even saying something like that in my TOS.

So again, the lack of enforcement is the actual issue in all online games. It gives players a sense that despite clear ToS violations, they’re doing nothing wrong.

They’ll get banned sooner or later. If you don’t think Blizzard isn’t watching. It may take awhile but they do. Someone back in CLassic wow was bragging about power leveling and etc. Sooner or later their account was banned like a year later cause of it. I just wish people would stop feeding farmers/scalpers.

It’s the currency used on the website he’s talking about.

FG cannot be converted to money officially.

that is done on black market sites and is against ToS of that site

So you advocate abusing the system which should get you banned, to try and enforce something blizzard has not acted on in 20 years. Yeah no. JSP is cancer. Blizzard has no way to shut it down though.

Some of you replying have clearly not understood the point to this topic (Either that or you did and don’t care) Either way let me clarify it:

You are at the mercy of Blizzard. Your personal likes/dislikes are of no consequence. Is it annoying? Absolutely? But this is like road rage, people getting mad at other drivers for things out of their control.

In this case, Blizzard is the other driver that causes you the road rage.

so did you report yourself for making this thread?
