Just got back from testing

Just got back from testing some other games and thought I’d catch up on some forum reading and potential changes that may have happened in my absence. Seems things been really quiet around here. That many people upset with charms, or is it banwaves or lost interest?

Mostly lost interest if i judge by my own experience.

Sunder charms made grinding pointless especially combined with cm
No grinding nothing to play for

so new charms should have been called harms for what they have done. Any news on potential changes anywhere? I’ve been slightly out of the loop

You casuals have no idea… The game hasnt been this good since .08 era.

The funny thing is, I would say that the 1.08-1.09 era was a bit more casual friendly. Faster to level, easier to gear for Hell on a multitude of classes, set monster spawns in Act 5 without as much ranged monsters causing dangerous situations, etc. I’d say that the only thing really harder in those versions, were mana management and Iron Maiden in Chaos. Maybe I might be misremembering, as I have not played those versions since before 1.10 dropped, but less overall immunes as well.

1.09 use too be way most balance for melee and caster and also way more fun

There are always the same people complaining about how bad everything is instead of playing the damn game. Yeah, we still need FHR changes reverted for PVP and WW improved for 2 handers for example. Bear form is too slow now, has to be fixed, too.

Now, to interesting changes you should try out (Blizzard sorc and mfing Mephisto like crazy is nothing new):

  1. Fire builds are a real option now. Fire druid can even compete in P8 clearance. Fire sin is really strong and safe with infinity and -% fire resistance facets. There is a new Natalya’s tigertail assassin who deals 300k+ dps with no immunes around. She uses both bone break and flame rift. Fire sorc is a real powerhouse and fun mfing sorc who makes much more dynamic and fun than blizzard. Look up all of the new druid possibilities.
  2. You can make a tele ww barb who can telestomp any mob with a reaper merc wearing a bone break (physical sundered charm). 8% DR from enigma alone makes it a nonissue already but you could also wear shako for additional 10% or string of ears. Physical immunes become 95% physical resistant, then decrepify from reaper merc brings it down to 45% => you can mow them down. No need for lawbringer or other damage handicaping offhand solutions. Necro can use bone break and amplify damage to instantly reduce their physical resistance to -5%. He can also carry fire sunder which works with infinity but to a lower degree. Still, that’s extra damage vs physical or fire immunes in higher player count.

There is more but that’s off the top of my head. I am making a dagger barb who can clear all game content + uber tristram. He uses bone break for example.
