Just found out about /nopickup

Whose idea was it to make gold not Auto pickup with this turned on?

AFAIK gold does auto-pickup with /nopickup active as long as it is turned on in the actual preferences. You’re the first to report that it doesn’t do that, which leads me to believe you didn’t enable that feature in the preferences. If it did in fact change, then it did so in the last patch from yesterday.

It’s enabled. The only way for me to “autopickup” with /nopickup is instead of just running over they gold, I need to hover my mouse over each individual pile which kind of defeats the purpose.

I can’t speak to how it worked before last patch because I just found out about /nopickup about an hour ago

Edit: derp autocorrect

I’ll have to give this a whirl and see if anything changed. The auto-pickup of gold is supposed to be independent of the /nopickup function.

Just as a quick check, with /nopickup active, does auto-pickup of gold work with either the show loot button held down or toggled to the on setting?

I use “timed” and it doesn’t work during the time loot stays active, and also doesn’t work while holding the keybind to show loot. Haven’t tried with toggle because I prefer timed.

I reported it in beta but seems to be unchanged. the radius for gold pickup when /nopickup activated is so small that you have to stand over the gold pile instead of just running past in a narrow line

Nope, I just verified that /nopickup disables gold pickup even when it’s enabled.

Yeah, I verified this too. This is definitely a change in the last patch. Would be nice if we actually got documentation on changes like this. Sadly the D2R patch notes have been thus far…lacking.

Nope. It was behaving like this in beta.
Auto-pickup for gold is not independent of /nopickup.
At least, if you type in /nopickup when auto gold is already active.

One thing I haven’t tried yet, is to turn off auto gold THEN type in the /nopickup command, then turn auto gold back on, to see if timing will force the auto gold to supercede /nopickup.
I have no idea if that will work, though.

I have tried what you suggested, turn off autogold, activate nopickup and turn it back on and it still won’t auto-pick up gold, even with the show item toggle activated. I feel like this is a bug and I will go ahead and report it.

Certainly can’t hurt to report it.
But the fact that it was working like this during beta makes me think that it may just be the intended behavior.

But then, there are bugs present in the game that were categorized as bugs in the beta, so who knows?
Send that report.

Yeah it could be intended but they’d have to be living on a different planet to intentionally do this. With all the major problems my guess is they are just doing priority based fixes. I’m sure (hopeful) it will be fixed before seasons start.

didnt you have to pick up gold manually in the original game… isnt that kind of the core of the game… can you stop trying to change the core of the game please… \workforthegold

thats what a purist would say anyways

what is /nopickup ? never heard of it

if you type /nopickup you won’t be able to pick up random stuff on the ground without holding down alt to get the names to pop up

Edit: just tested if you have /nopickup on you can still auto pick up gold if you hold down alt then run over it for what its worth tho it doesn’t always seem to work
