I’ve not built too many, and finding that charging up Lite Fury is nasty for my secondary weapon. Is it me, or does this skill negate all the life and mana steal I enjoy when using my Bowazon skills?
Only the physical damage part of LF leeches, not all that gazillion lightning damage. What you want with a LF zon is mana per kill (e.g. tir runes) or life per kill (less necessary, only a few items in the game grant this). The reason for this is LF zons expend relatively little mana for a massive number of kills, but their skills do elemental damage which doesn’t leech. So the mana per kill stat works very well for them here. Equip a Lidless Wall or Wall of the Eyeless with a +5 mana per kill and throw a LF into a crowd of trash mobs and watch your mana orb completely fill.
Yeah, mana per kill is what you want. I personally like to run a Phoenix on xer (them? they?) too for mana via the redemption aura.
Points taken. LF is only a side thing with me, since I could never handle all the lite-immune mobs if she was a dedicated jav-zon. I’m not gonna go changing all my gear for it. If I ever do get the 2 Ber runes I would need for an infinity stick, then yeah, I’ll make a dedicated one. My primary bowazon gear is made up of all the elements, so I have something for every immune. And if it’s immune to physical, amp damage on my ammy takes that away quick. I just did this earlier tonight, and in the past 3 hours of farming and testing, This is the only downside I have noticed. I like how fast she kills everything, and now I can farm Arcane Sanc ALOT faster.
Sorry… The most important part I failed to mention is that my merc with an lvl 16 insight thresher won’t replenish my mana either. That’s the truly BIZARRE part of it.
Yeah, I mean javazon is very very efficient and fun, but situational. Cows. Pindle/Shenk, Chaos. Beyond that, she’s iffy. Well unless infinity, etc.
The insight thresher won’t do you any good if your mana pool is too low. You need something like 400+ mana for your natural mana regen rate to be sufficiently amplified to a point where it competes with LF mana consumption. Having a spirit shield helps with that, but if you don’t have mana sources from elsewhere, it only gets you to the 250+ mark.
Some javazons use freezing arrow and buriza on swap to deal with physical immunes. Or if you have an eth upgraded titans, you can get a decent jab as well. Plague javelin is really iffy, but works with a lower resists wand if it’s your first playthrough, which can also break a fair number of lightning immunes.
To be honest, unless you’re aiming to solo p8 stuff, you don’t need to max out all of LF’s synergies. They don’t give all that much damage anyway. So you can spend points elsewhere. I ran with a lvl 21 valk and maxed plague javelin for my first playthrough, and together with a decent merc, she actually clears Hell CS and event Act 3 at a decent pace even with all the lightning immune storm casters and abyss kights (in the ROF). If I remember right, Act 3 wasn’t much of an issue despite it being notorious for lightning immunes. The LR wand broke almost all of them, costs about 2k per charge. Whatever it didn’t break, plague javelin (LR also amplifies this) and jab took them down quick enough.
Ahh. That’s exactly it. Makes total sense. I put zero points into energy, and it was just straight dump into dex after making sure my str. was good enough for my spirit mon. I use a Moser’s with 40/15’s in both sockets on my switch. Demon arch balrog spear for javs. I don’t even have a non-eth titan’s this all was really a spur of the moment thought, but the damage surprised me so much, I respec’ed character, and maxed out LF. I went on the FIRST RUN, in frigid Highlands and Shenk’s mobs dropped an Ist. I was instantly impressed.
