when I try to cast I have to put mouse on the enemy and left click, i missed many times so I walk toward enemies instead of cast.
but I’ve seen someone can cast anytime when the enemies still not showing like Diablo in Chaos sanctuary or Baal’s minion
how can I do that?
Tap shift while running to cast a single hammer. (Assuming Blessed Hammer is on your movement mouse button.)
Hold shift to keep casting hammers. (while still holding left mouse button.)
Shift by default forces your character to stop, which if you continue holding down your left mouse button, will start casting the skill or performing the attack bound to the button.
it’s not working man
You hold down shift and cast hammers with right click on your mouse. Then you use f1/f2 to switch between tele and concentration aura. You need to have hammers assigned in the box on the left of your potion bar.
Hammerdin is quite hard for new players to grasp. It has many intricacies and it can be obstructive while leveling.
Try use hammerdin build only in endgame and if you want to use hammers while leveling, mix the skill choices with some zeal and offensive auras to be able to respond in any situation adequately.
Once you have Enigma, life will change, hammerdin is very easy to work with. Until then, well position yourself smart on the map and try never to click on monsters, but learn always to use shift+m1.
A small trick that not many players will tell you about is using the charge skill (with shift on empty location) to position yourself, if you do not have enigma, then just spam your lovely hammers.
