Itroduce To Us New Item MOBILITY SMALL CHARM

To escape the need for enigma, the armor that 99% of the player base, who can afford to make one, choose to wear over all others, based primarily on its +1 to teleport (but that also has many other powerful stats as well), introduce to us a mobility small charm, level 93 requirement, and significant rarity, that provides;

+1 to Teleport ( open )
(Negative) 5-10 to All Stats
(Negative) 5-10 to All Resistances
(Negative) 15% Faster Run Walk

ALTERNATE OPTION

Level 6 Teleport charges (150/150)
+20-40% Faster Run / Walk Speed
(Negative) 5-10 to All Stats

ALTERNATE OPTION ( via suggestion below )

Add +1 random o skill to Annihilus Small Charm
(provides wide ranging potential for teleport w/ widely varying other stats)



Also, introduce new teleport o skill, and teleport charge, items for different slots. (very basic items boots, gloves, and belt, and more advanced options for helmet, shield.

So power creep.

Plan to buff all the monsters to compensate?

Or do you think elemental builds all need +20% elemental damage, -20% mob resist, and physical builds need 300% extra ED?

Buff monsters to be able to wear an armor that DOESN’T provide teleport, +2 skills, 99 magic find, +75 strength, +750 defense, +45% FRW, max life, and DR?

Yes, physical builds do need 300% extra ed, and it would be nice to use a different form of damage reduction other than COA or SS and a DR Belt, such as leviathan / shaftstop, or something different all together, without no longer being able to keep up with other players movement capability.

Elemental damages is already so high that an extra 20% / -20% isnt going to change much for them.

It will allow some alternate gear setups, however.

MF is a useless stat, the str is ultimately just extra life, and players already get far more than needed anyway. I’d trade 30-40% damage for 8% DR any day lol.

Sure. Make all the mobs 20-30% tougher. Seems reasonable for a change like that. For real though, stop buffing player power. Games already a joke difficulty wise.

Alternate change. Remove torch/Anni and add this. Or better yet, just leave it alone.

Then you should support eliminating all of the extra stats from enigma.

take off everything except the +1 teleport and the stats from the runes

ALL OTHERS REMOVED

No strength
No Run Speed
No Magic Find
No life after kill
No added defense
No Damage taken goes to mana

The armor is too OP and 99% of players that can afford one use that over everything else (but it is the teleport that makes players choose it) unless they are a sorceress who doesnt need it to begin with.

Physical builds could use 300% ED. I won’t argue with you there.

I would rather Blizzard introduce a season where Annies can now spawn with +1 O skill. This can be any skill in the game. It can be Find item, tele or any other skill you can think of. If you find a 20/20/10 with a useful skill, it will be worth so much! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

That would be viable option also, and a good way to reduce easy access to teleport on charm.

I’ve said for years that the problem with Enigma isn’t the teleport, it’s the extra stats on it. I mean shouldn’t be hard to find several examples of me saying this just on these boards.

That said all of those stats are still weaker than what 4oS gives you. Or Runewords like Fort/CoH

I would. Physical builds don’t need 300% ED. Elemental builds need 30% as much AoE.

People need to learn that you can buff things by nerfing others. It’s generally healthier for a game to nerf than buff in the long run.

Players get better at games, machines get better at running games, but if you keep buffing the player it compounds with the first two and the difficulty reaches “boring at best” pretty quickly.

Right now I frankly feel buffing the HP and damage of every monster in the game by x2 wouldn’t even be enough. The player has just became too strong. Even x2 on P8 would get slaughtered still by the meta builds.

As much of this has been through one small dumb buff at a time.

I mean you can take what used to be a fairly crappy build like a fire Druid into P8 now… and it still quickly clears, and feels basically immortal.

just shop a staff? farm a bunch and make enigma if u want it that bad

Why should anyone get free teleport charm?

Enigma is expensive and many players will not make it in months.

If that was the case, then everyone would be using those armors, not enigma.

As current items go, the teleport on enigma will never be matched, outside of niche cases such as bvb pvp. It is impossible to keep up in TZ runs without teleport, highly inefficient to magic find without teleport, and practically impossible to pub PVP effectively without teleport.

It seems the majority of players have access to enigma by now.

The only way to remove its strangle hold on gear set-up is to introduce some other forms of o skill teleport that provide functional end-game performance, nerf it by removing or replacing the o skill teleport with skill charges, or add a casting delay to teleport based on skill level.

You don’t need enigma.

Correct, if you don’t mind playing with a handicap / at the pace of a snail.

I don’t know how you are playing but that is so not true.

Maybe if you are only doing mephisto/andariel I can see it as true, but then you are playing d2 wrong.

just add +1 teleport to torches if you must. Anni is not reliable enough and another SC is not needed.

Nerfing enigma is inadvertently buffing sorceress. We really don’t need to be doing that.

you’re not getting ubiquitous teleport. Get over it.

Want free teleport? play sorc.

Want teleport on other chars? get a circlet\amulet\staff with charges. When it’s a circ or amulet you can also combine it with harmony bow on swap; or you can have a harmony merc.

Want spammable teleport without sacrifices? find jah ber.

These are great and balanced choices IMO. Free teleport may be putting sorc over the edge… so may be worth giving sorc an overall minor nerf to balance it out, rather than messing with the other more complicated side of the equation.

I’d rather suggest new item / changes to improve the game, and hope that they may introduce it in a future patch.

Teleport charges on circlets and amulets are hardly enough quantity to get you from River of Flame waypoint to the Chaos Santuary center, let alone keep up with a full TZ or chaos run.
