I love how Blizzard STILL didnt patch this bug somehow.
Found a nice War Travs and when I logged back on, poof.
Im loving finding items and coming back next day just to find it gone from my toon.

I am glade I never committed to a single player run, I wouldn’t find this game very fun right now.
I hate it too man that’s the worst bug.

Been playing single player since the day of release and haven’t had anything vanish from my stashes or inventories with the exception of some lost progress caused by a power outage. Did anything peculiar or out of the ordinary happen before you noticed the items vanish? Game crash? Turning off console without saving first?

It was my last MF run of the day, went to town to ID the War Trav.
Save and exited, then turned the game off before starting a different PS5 game.
My progression, and experience was all saved EXCEPT the boots.
Was it shared stash?
Where other shared stashes full?
You need to let the game save.
I’ve had this happen very recently. Forgot I had suspended D2R then turned off the console without saving my game. Progress lost.
How sure are you that you saved?
How often do you percieve losing progress?
It was in my inventory, I ve had items poof in my shared stash in the past but not recently.
I saved and exited and came to the character screen, thought it would be sufficient to save the data.
After the character screen, I went to the PS5 home page to close the game before I launched a different game.
Is there a delay in the console/cloud saving progress? Idk. But it saved my ingame progress such as experience, my teleport charges, pot usage etc.
I had this dirty gut feeling it was gunna happen, so later on that night I came back to check and of course it was gone
I only know a bit, I guess search for a bigger post about the subject, see what strategy people are using.
The game saves without any need for an internet connection while playing offline mode.
The PS5 may be different; but the PS4 has saved data management in the settings. You can control if local saves are stored in the PSN Cloud.
Like if lighting strikes and your console is fried to a crisp you can get your save back.
It’s hard to help you trouble shoot this without more info from how the game is saving on a code level and how the PS5 operates on a hardware level.
Just be super vigilant on saving the game and see if progress is lossed.
So I found that the last game I save and exit before closing the game does not save.
Im not sure if its a time-delay or I MUST have created a new game to save the progress but yeah, the last game doesnt save
