I “Personalized” my Wiardspike… and it is now called “Personalized Wizardspike”. My character name is Wrath, and my Nintendo Switch profile name is also Wrath. Will this ever be fixed or is this perfectly good wizspike forever going to be like this?

I was also wondering why this happened to me on PS4. Tried to personalize my spirit sword but now the base item is called “personalized crystal sword”.
Can anyone comment if this is a console only thing or just how personalization now works in D2 Resurrected?
I think this a console only thing, and I guess it’s so people can’t name stuff inappropriate things and trade them? I’m looking at you Nintendo.

If it indeed is because of this then it would be great to have the proper personalization at least in single player.
It’s the same on xbox. Items will be named “personalized XXX”. Wierd feature.
Yeah, god forbid some one be offended by a name in a video game. In a rated M game too. Ahhh I love the censorship of free speech now from Big Tech.

Me not doing this is keeping the Xbox achievement for completing all quest from popping. This is good to know that it doesn’t really work. I’ll just use it on some throw away item to get it completed and move on.
I laughed when I personalized an item and saw the result.
By the way since there is cross progression, what if I personalize on item on PC and then boot up the game on a console and load that character?
What happens? Anyone who plays both on PC and a console here who could do a little experiment?

I think I reported this as a bug first, before making the thread. But it might help if we all do that. I don’t have the best memory so I’m gonna report again just in case. Is there a way this could ever be fixed, or are the items that are already marred messed up for life lol

Just experienced this bug now. What a drag. They just had a maintenance and still did not fix this.
I don’t believe it is a bug therefore they will not fix it. Since we are playing on console our names are not regulated by Blizzard. They are Xbox, PS, Nintendo. Since Blizzard can’t police the names they choose not to allow the names. If you do it on PC then bring it over to console I bet it would work but it will have your Blizzard name not your GT. I don’t even know why we name our characters on console when in game they just show as your console GT. I also noticed names are not on players ears either when you kill them. On Pc they always are. So all this points to not a bug.
