Sorry to hear this. I myself lost many many items due to their bugs/issues… and no fault of my own.
Like you… many others have lost charms or items or characters.
Until this issue is fixed we all play at our own risk. Not knowing if the game will just delete our time and fortitude.
I really wish there was a better answer for you (& myself); however we are just alpha/beta testers. Any data that is deleted cause of them won’t be restored… according to their own words (See link).
I would say expect to lose more as many hundreds of thousands have since launch. I myself am waiting for ladder S1 since I really don’t like the idea of my progress getting deleted at random times.
