By golly it sure would be nice if Blizzard would even so much as consider showing the Classic players and the people who prefer singleplayer some attention too. I mean there should be absolutely no reason why at the very least singleplayer can’t be given the same events and updates that ladder gets when even singleplayer requires an active, online connection to play on PC. I’d like to have OP AF resist breaking charms too. I’d like to play Terror Zones too! And hell most people play ladder by themselves anyways so the majority of ladder players are just playing a gimped singleplayer, so any reason you give why things have to be exclusive to ladder is bs.
For Christ’s sakes it’s called TERROR zones, not DESTRUCTION zones. Diablo is the Lord of Terror. Diablo. Not Baal. There should be no reason why Classic players shouldn’t be able to participate.
And before any of you say “But singleplayer can use mods and character editors!” know that opinion is one of the dumbest takes you can have. Not everybody enjoys modding their games. Not everybody wants to cheat in their games. I mean the entire point of a looter game is getting the loot. Using a cheat engine to just give you all the BiS stuff completely invalidates the game to the point where you might as well not even play it at that point. And as far as mods go, I like the base Diablo 2 and LoD experience, I don’t like modding. It’s cool if you do, but I and plenty others like me don’t.
