Issue with Computer detecting a controller

I’m trying to rack my brain around why does D2R not have a disable controller support button!

I’ve been playing D2R since launch and haven’t had this issue crop up and it’s driving me insane.

I was playing D2R in December without issue.

I moved to a new house, same PC, same setup, I finally am able to sit down and play D2R again and now I’m running into this “Controller” mode when I launch the game. I looked online and saw everything from drivers, disabling or unplugging physical USB’s. etc.

I have no USB or Bluetooth etc. controllers.

I have tried unplugging every USB connected to my computer.

When I load into the game it says press “A” to continue. I click on the mouse and the circle reticle becomes the finger.

I select my char and the next page is still controller setup

I play the game with Keyboard and mouse all inputs work but when I open inventory or try to use the UI it’s using the controller scheme and I really hate it… I need the PC scheme.

Anyone has a fix for this?

I saw that there was a D2R/data/global/config json you can make changes to, however it looks like D2R has been updated because the global folder is completely missing now :frowning:

I don’t see a way to disable this feature or enforce keyboard and mouse. I can play the game with Keyboard and mouse but the UI and UX are all controller versions, like minimap is way to large with large texts as if I’m sitting 6ft away from a tv, I’m playing about 1-2ft away from a 27” monitor, inventory shifting background to the right.

Please if anyone has a fix please let me know!
