Can using Process Explorer to start multiboxing be banned?
Who cares what YOU run on YOUR machine? Unless you use it to cheat.
Yes it can be banned.
Why??i just use it to start opening multiboxing.
Because it’s a 3rd party program that allows you to circumvent the check of multiple D2R programs. It is banable. It’s not always enforced, but it can.
interfering with the proper functioning of any blizz software is a good reason for ban
he is also streaming atm
originalx9 @ twitch tv
if you jump on stream I’m 100% sure he will answer your questions ![]()
The same thing I was trying to explain to this guy in another post.
By using process explorer to stop a handle to a registry-key object that checks for multiple instances he is basically altering the code of the games’ executable. He just doesn’t want to accept that this is the most probable cause for his ban, just because he followed the instructions of a streamer.
It is clear that safe multiboxing can only be achieved through virtualisation or using multiple physical computers.
I have many friends using process explorer and noone got banned. same for isboxer, hyperX or even token method. you’re not reading memory there, you’re not using any automation then you’re fine.
As I mention to the guy also…it’s just an educated guess. There are precedents of people using process explorer to kill handles that got banned.
yes, that;s what i did.Just using the process explorer.
Text book example of confirmation bias… ![]()
Oh many players are using process explorer to start multiboxing too. Then why are they still playing lol??
If i have to get banned, then ban all the multiboxing streamers who use process explorer too!!
Why so sure they wont be banned?
Then are you sure they will be banned?
Multiboxing would be an odd reason to ban someone.

There is one EULA for all Blizzard games and services. This includes the launcher, forums, games, and mobile apps.
This is their currently released statement. It is tagged for WoW, but usually Blizz has the same policies across games.
Blizzard Support - Multiboxing
Multiboxing, or playing multiple World of Warcraft accounts at once, is not a violation of our End User License Agreement. Please note, however, that use of all software or hardware mechanisms used to mirror commands to multiple World of Warcraft accounts at the same time, or to automate or streamline multiboxing in any way may result in account penalties.
they say it’s allowed.
WoW is a very different game than Diablo, not to mention a very different genre of game.
Just because it’s against the ToS for WoW doesn’t mean it is for D2R.
I use Process Explorer too. How else are you going to get more than one instance of the game to not crash? And in an age where electricity ain’t cheap and media bombards us with incessant “sustainability”, are we supposed to run 3 separate computers vs just using one?
Update: I guess the solution would be virtual machine, but if Blizzard is so strict about us using Process Explorer because we are not comfortable running VM, then they should provide instruction on it, as opposed to taking our money and remaining silent. And how is running a VM that tricks Blizzard process check any different from just closing that process? That’s bad form, and really makes me doubt I want to buy D4.

bruh the answer to this is literally right above your post

multiboxing IS NOT against ToS. as long as they don’t change it, it will be 100% legit
