It does not matter WHY you exploit a bug, only that you did. If you have something to report as an exploit you can put the details in an email to hacks@blizzard.com
Be aware that “i was recording it” is not an excuse for extensive use of an exploit. Once or twice then realizing…hey this should not happen, is fine. Stop at that point. Repeated intentional use is what they put in detection for.
Just for clarification sake, I was recording my game play to demonstrate a skill binding bug. That video can be seen in the Bug Report section.
Finding out that it triggered another different “bug” was an unintended consequence.
Please be very very careful to keep any bugs that can be exploited private and report them directly to the hacks email.
Teaching others how to reproduce a bug that can be abused for gain is considered spreading an exploit. It is forbidden on the forums.
It’s not really what I’d call an exploitable bug but fair enough, I’ve deleted the post. For what it’s worth I only spoke about it so that if just finding it triggered warden, that I’d have something to explain myself. The posts on this forum show bans are in full-force, a lot of people claiming innocence and noone successfully having their bans overturned yet so yeah it’s making me a bit nervous. I don’t want to be the next person not being believed that I wasn’t running a maphack.

I’ve been playing online games since the mid 90s. Never been banned from anything. Any MMO or online Blizzard game. Never.
Been hacked, had my account compromised, things stolen and moved etc., but never banned or suspended.
My opinion is, you were doing something you knew you shouldn’t have been doing, while you were doing it.

It’s because you have no evidence of your innocence. They have already found evidence, and penalized you. That is why it is called an “appeal”.
Andi dont receive evidence from them. the only thing i know is that i did 100pit runs, 100diablo runs and 4.3k trav runs and then got banned
