I was wondering anyone who can confirm or assure that bonuses for Holy fire aura sub group resist fire actually works? Reason I am asking because of my really low lvl 6 paladin where I managed to get two different scepters from Akara one give Holy Fire +3 and nothing else, other give holy fire +3 and resist fire +2. Last supposed to give 21% bonus to holy fire damage according to informations.
But having one scepters in one hand and other on quick swap I see absolutely no changes in damage on icon, neither if I look inside character (A) (C) it says exactly same number with both. So not sure if it’s issue with icon and character not displaying it properly or if it does indeed not work and there by not showing up any different.
Since I have no damage log or anything I can for good reason not really run numbers to see if it works properly or not. Anyone else have any insight on the matter?
Only hard points into resist fire affects holy fire dmg, bonuses to resist fire from items isnt suppose to increase holy fire dmg,

Thanks, not sure I see logic behind it but thanks nevertheless. Then I may as well avoid the wasted attribute on the item then.
+Skills from gear merely affects the individual skill, not any synergies. For synergies to apply, hard points must be invested in the respective skill so in Holy Fire’s case, hard points into Resist Fire/Salvation. Auradins are the prime example of taking advantage of this by pumping 40 points into Resist Fire/Lightning and Salvation and then granting their Holy Aura via runeword(Dream x 2 for level 30 Holy Shock or Hand of Justice + dual Dragon(Armor/Shield) for level 44 Holy Fire). The hard points into those synergies massively buff those Holy Auras and since they’re granted via equipment allows the Paladin to roll with Conviction to amplify their damage even more. It’s a pretty expensive but insanely strong build that in 2.4 only got stronger. Tesladin(Holy Shock variant) + Crescent Moon Sword… kiss of death
