I play multiple characters right now and some of them I use the quick cast skill option and some not. for example, I don’t like to use the quick cast for my bow amazon. I like to have the Ice skill at F7 and Fire skill at F8 for my right mouse button. And at the same time for my necromancer, I have Decrepify at F7 and Amplify at F8 as quick cast skills. Now everytime I play the other I have to go to settings to uncheck the quick cast skills option.
Going to settings everytime kinda sucks just to uncheck/check the option.

Its already annouying AF with key bindings per char. Dont need more options to he per char.
You know if you set custom keybinds when you log into another character you can use them on them by hitting the default button and selecting custom. Took me a bit to learn that
In a game where repetition and efficiency are key for fast farming, those seconds can start to add up. Plus going in and out of menus kind of takes you out of the fantasy.
ya i do thats still annouying AF i do not know any game that does this. theres a reason pretty much every game out there does not have key bindings per char.
we never had this issue in the OG key bindings should be per account not chars. and as far as i know you can only create one custom key binding save in D2R. unless im missing something. it just makes zero sence to have it per char if you can only create one custom save for key bindings
I just cant see how QC is bad for any build
I can still bind skills to rmb and lmb
I just wish auras could be binded to any key, max of one active
I actually wanted to use quick cast and normal cast together for the same char, I was disappointed it wasn’t an option

The solution seems simple:
Add quick cast shortcuts, on top of regular skill select shortcuts.
OR, on a per character basis, allow each skill select shortcut to also be assigned a quick cast version of a skill.
I prefer having actual attacks on my left-click, like Zeal, Smite, Fireball, Double Swing – because I use them a lot.
Like, my Lightning sorceress casts mostly lightning, but also switches to Frozen Orb, and to Chain Lightning on left click.
I don’t want nor need to quick cast any of them.
She wants Frozen Armor on quick cast.
Then there’s my barbarian.
Who wants Leap Attack, Shout, Battle Orders and Battle Command, plus Find Item and Battle Cry on quick cast – but whirlwind, double swing, berserk and concentrate on shortcut key so they get assigned to a mouse button.

For my necromancer, I want summons and curses on quick cast, and attack skills on shortcuts.
