I just got to act 5 my the skin of my teeth battling diablo the whole day and finally beat him… I would really love to be ablee to make an insight to aid me during act 5 and have all the runes but don’t have a 4os polearm… Can they show up in act 1 and 2 vendors or is there somewhere in acts 1-4 i can farm for?
You can find a normal white voulge and have Lazark socket it for you to get 4. That’s what I did.

What type will get the 4 sockets tho? I don’t wanna do it and not get the 4 i need
Max sockets on items have item level breakpoints. I believe its 1-25 gives up to 3, 26-40 gives up to 4, and 41+ gives up to 6 depending on the polearm used. Item level should correspond to area level. Just google “d2 area levels” and you can easily find a listing to accomodate. Farm a polearm from an area with the appropriate level and you should be good to go with Larzuk.
think the socketable item has to drop from cows for this to work?
According to the all powerful google, normal cows is level 28 while Act IV begins at level 26 and Act V ends at 43. Since you need an item level over 25 and less than 41 for 4 max sockets, you should be fine anywhere in Act IV and also Act V before the Worldstone Keep.

IF you find a white polearm class somewhere near shenk it will give you 4 sockets with the socket quest!
You can use cube recipe to add more sockets to white items than difficulty normally allows as well, but it will be a random number of sockets unlike Larzuk quest.

I’d love to farm cows but I haven’t beaten act 5 yet and I’d really prefer to have an Insight as I prgoress through act 5 especially during the last quest when you’re in the throne room and have those waves of elites constantly running up on you from Baal summoning them.
